04.01.2022 Sharing a solution to a challenge that frustrated me for an hour. Hopefully, sharing could save someone else time. Have you added a misspelled word to your dictionary via Facebook in an Edge Browser and now want to remove it? Can't find the word in the Custom MS Office dictionary? Try these four steps: Note: I closed Edge and all Office products first in case any apps had locked the file but it might not have been necessary. ... 1) Find the equivalent folder to C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Spelling\en-AU, 2) open default.dic in Notepad or Wordpad and then 3) delete the misspelled word and save the change, then 4) close the file. To test the change, try typing the word in a sentence on Facebook or an Office program and you should now see a squiggly red line under it again. What was your latest technology challenge or solution?
