Once all the food is collected, BJE high school students will come together on 13 December to learn more about food insecurity and pack the donated food into hampers which OzHarvest will deliver to vulnerable families. This is a fun and meaningful way for high school students to give back while socialising with other Jewish students from around Sydney. 14.01.2022 Over five million people in Australia struggle every day with food insecurity. Sadly, this number is on the rise due to COVID-19. To help fight hunger and live by our Jewish values we are partnering with jwave and PJ Library: Shalom to come together as a community to donate non-perishable pantry breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack items to vulnerable families. We have volunteers spread out across the Eastern Suburbs ready to collect your donations (as well as one location in t...he North Shore). Please contact [email protected] with your full name and suburb to find out your nearest dropoff location. For BJE high school students, on 13 December there will be an opportunity to learn more about food insecurity while packing the donated food into hampers that @OzHarvest will distribute to families in need.
