21.01.2022 Brisbane clubs are busy preparing for the upcoming junior rugby season. ALL BJRU Clubs have COVID Safe plans in place, and operating under the current restrictions similar to the Level 3 restrictions we experienced in July last year. As per Queensland Health advice:... You must carry a mask at all times. Masks must be worn in indoor places including shopping centres and supermarkets, gyms, places of worship, libraries, public transport, and taxis and rideshare vehicles. Masks must be worn in workplaces if social distancing isn’t possible and it’s safe to do so. You don’t need to wear a mask in private vehicles, while outdoors at a safe distance from other people or if you’re doing strenuous exercise. 14.01.2022 The Brisbane Junior Rugby Union are proud advocates and supporters of girls and women in rugby at every level of our game. Today we feature youth athlete, Jaime Cope, who started out playing alongside boys in Under 6 at GPS Rugby, to representing at the predominantly male, Under 12 Simon Abubakar Carnival. Jaime made the switch to play in the all girls 7s & 10s club rugby competitions for Wests and UQ Bullsharks. Subsequently, gaining selection into the BJRU 7s and Brisbane... U18 & Schoolgirls XVs Representative squads. We are thrilled for Jaime and wish her well, as she continues to pursue her rugby dreams with grit and determination. 10.01.2022 For the very first time, the Brisbane Junior Rugby Union partnered with TAFE QLD to work with their Diploma of Sport and Fitness students who supported our admin team across the four venues during the six week Summer 7s competition. Thank you and all the best to Noah, Katie, Clayton and Ky (not pictured) who will be completing their studies within the week. We look forward to continuing our partnership with TAFE QLD in 2021.
