23.01.2022 Another super double for the team with Moonan Me and Top me up again both saluting in hard fought finishes down the EF straight. Thanks to all the Brian Smith racing team who have done a great job last week getting the horses ready to perform today while BJ was away eating prawns and drinking beer last week!

16.01.2022 Monster of Power reporting in after winning his first race on Saturday. Congratulations to his owner Jimmy Goumas, after spending months in lockdown in Melbourne we are sure he enjoyed the win and we look forward to the time when he is able to visit QLD and see his horses race again.

It is great to have some long term clients, first time stable clients and first time racehorse owners joining together in his ownership! His Brisbane based owners got together for a cheeky Friday night drink last night. Chevy enjoyed being the star of the show and looks to be pretty happy with Kerrie one of his new owners! Go Chevy

13.01.2022 Dotti aka soubrette enjoyed a well deserved pick this morning after scoring a nice win at the Sunshine Coast last night. She has had a great prep so far and was knocking on the door after two nice seconds leading into this win!

05.01.2022 BJ met up with an old stable favourite this morning. Jetset Lad was a extra special racehorse, being the winner of the 2015 Brisbane cup and back to back Tatts miles in 2014 and 2015. He’s now has a wonderful second career as an eventer. Despite currently resting following a veterinary procedure, he looks amazing and is being treated like a king by his owner and rider Jodie Smith. Here’s hoping for ongoing success for them!

03.01.2022 The team had a great time at Honto last night! We are lucky to have such a loyal and happy group around us and we wish to thank not only our staff but also a number of jockeys who are a important part of the teams success! Special thanks also to Larry Cassidy and Justin Huxtable who weren’t able to make dinner last night

03.01.2022 The team was rewarded with a nice double at the Sunshine Coast today! Congratulations to Moonan Me, Neptunes Choice and their connections. The team were thrilled for Moonan Me to knock up his first win for Chris Garrard who is such a fantastic supporter of racing. Thank you to all the BJS racing staff and all those behind the scenes who help the horses to be at their best on race day. Special shout out to Boris Thornton who has done plenty of work on both these horses but is currently out of action with a shoulder injury....and congratulations to Justin Huxtable on riding a treble on the day. Happy days.
