23.01.2022 Enjoy Neil Brandons' latest sermon in the series studying the Gospel of Matthew. We have been blessed by our wonderful Lord as the church has opened again after the shutdown. It has been great to see each other again and worship together, learning more of what is our role in this little church and the wider community. Consider as you go through today and every day God gives us, all the ways our God blesses us, and be a blessing too!... As Christians that is our calling in Christ and it is a pleasure and privilege //youtu.be/sg-5MF8i9mg See more

22.01.2022 Letting everyone know: On the 30th of May, Bruce Rock Church of Christ will host a "5th Sunday" service at the church. These services rotate between towns and are a regular feature of life for the wider church in the wheatbelt, everyone welcome. The speaker will be Mr Nigel Merrick, a Church of Christ minister of many years, now retired. Start time is 10:30 AM with shared lunch to follow. It will be a great time. Hope to see you there! Check out the church's new paint too!, which is the first phase of an uplift for the building and landscaping.

19.01.2022 Hi Everyone. Just letting us all know, church is happening this Sunday. With the current health concerns there is a need to be vigilant in assessing the situation tho the relative size of BK church may mean staying open is the best plan. We have been very blessed to have amazing visiting speakers to teach and encourage us. Ian and Cheryl Cullen last Sunday and Des and Lyn Croot this week. It's so good to know there are people happy to minister to our country churches in this way, it is really appreciated and is a reminder of our amazing Gods' love for us. Take care and be a blessing today!

19.01.2022 The church had a visit from E4 Flight ministry yesterday, a wonderful encouragement and blessing to us all. Thankyou Craig, Ruth, Matt and Natalie for giving us your time and talents. E4 Flight travels from Albany to WA's wheatbelt churches to bring teaching and love, showing that altho Gods' children are separated by distance his family is not isolated at all. We are all a part of the bigger family of believers in Jesus, we are his children together no matter what. So good to know. Be a blessing today everyone, no matter where we are or what we are doing!

18.01.2022 Hi again Everyone. In line with the federal directive to suspend all public gatherings, including places of worship, sadly the BK church will stop holding Sunday Services until further notice. In the meantime, here are some churches that are providing online worship time. The 'Songs of Praise' programme on ABC on Sunday mornings is really good too.... Both can be found easily by typing the name into facebook search. Or copy and paste the inks below Albany Albany Church of Christ Churches of Christ in WA http://cofcalbany.org.au/ Yass Community Baptist Church https://www.facebook.com//p.15160648918/1516064891867125/ There will be many other churches doing the same so it should be reasonably easy to be involved and uplifted by some great worship and teaching during this difficult time. Let's be sure to still stay in touch and pray for each other. Many blessings everyone.

15.01.2022 Happy and blessed New year everyone! Isn't it comforting to know that all will ultimately be well, despite the uncertainties of this life, when we trust our amazingly powerful and loving God. That is all he asks of us, just to love him in return and trust him in every situation.... 'We love because he first loved us' 1 John 4:19. God is the creator and sustainer of perfect love 'Behold I am doing a new thing'... Isaiah 42:19 He made a new agreement with us in Christ 'Behold I am making all things new'... Revelation 21:5 All of creation will be renewed, never to be in turmoil ever again. Even in our own lives, with all our mistakes, pain and regrets it's a certain promise for us to hold on to. You will keep him in perfect peace, who's mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 Thru life's happy times as well as problems and when we see the world around us in all sorts of trouble, no matter what, remember God is in control and Jesus wins! Happy and blessed 2021 all, let's be a blessing to everyone we meet!

14.01.2022 Many blessings are ours through Jesus Christ our Lord. He is our wonderful Saviour and God, able to uplift and carry us through any trials we face and keep us secure no matter what. All glory to God for giving us such a sure hope in difficult days as well as good times. We have a perfect opportunity in this uncertain time to show His love to every person we meet. Be strong in the Lord and secure in His care. Be a blessing today wherever you are. https://biblehub.com/niv/philippians/1.htm

14.01.2022 There are lots of online resources made available by our churches and they are great, particularly while we cant attend church as usual. We just watched the church service from Albany Church of Christ. The message was very relevant to this time and easy to listen to. Jesus Sermon on the Mount, reminding us to focus on the things that are eternal, not on the problems or treasures of this life and use this time as a blessing, to reconnect or stay connected with God. The links are below in a previous post.

14.01.2022 This is why we celebrate Easter. The power of the cross of Christ. It is a message we all so badly need to hear. Believe it and it will change your life!

06.01.2022 A Blessed Easter everyone. Yes, he died on a cross. For you and me, but the grave could not hold him! Now Jesus is our certain, sure and eternal hope, a great reason to rejoice !

04.01.2022 He is risen!...He is risen indeed! The wonderful truth that makes all the difference. No matter what happens to us in this world, we are more than conquerers because of that fact, the resurrection of Jesus. Accept him into your life, for the first time or anew each day and know the peace that only He can give. It is the miracle of new life. The life we were meant to have, all along. ... Be blessed and be a blessing today! See more

02.01.2022 Hi Everyone Here is another sermon from Neil Brandon. Well worth a look and listen, as always. Some more good news too: It looks like we will be ok to begin church again very soon.... Probably Sunday 7th of June. More on the details in a few days. Be blessed and be a blessing. Click on this link for the sermon https://youtu.be/H1iK4Pdwtk8

02.01.2022 Here is sermon by Neil Brandon, our excellent pastor at Bruce Rock Church of Christ for a number of years. Neil and family now live in Riverton. Enjoy and learn. https://youtu.be/UUoMgyIDfuY

02.01.2022 As the deer pants for the water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? Psalm 42: 1 NIV... Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God Psalm 42:5 These words are spoken from the heart, by a person desperately waiting on God to deliver him from trouble. They are common to all of us as we go through life. We are designed to look for God. It has been placed in our nature. We search for meaning and contentment in many different places but our innermost being is not satisfied until we find our Creator and Saviour and allow him to give us his peace. "Why are you downcast o my soul" The person is asking himself the reason for his depression and sadness. It shows the battle that often happens within. "I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God" says, despite all the things that confront and challenge our peace, even from within, there is a place of hope and refuge. There can never be inner peace until we are willing to allow God to have his true place in us. It is the way we were made to be. No created thing, or person can do that, only Jesus. Jesus said: "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls" Matthew 11:29 Test that advice and see that it is true. Look in the gospels and see all the places that Jesus says "I tell you the truth" he wasn't kidding! Tough times such as we have now, and often go through, are meant to focus our lives back on what really is important and to remind us that our happiness and very existence in this world is fragile, but God is strong and carries us every day, even when we don't realise it. Let him have all your worries! All glory to him! Look for His blessings today, they are everywhere! And be a blessing too!

01.01.2022 "The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble" Proverbs 4: 18,19 NIV This is a wonderful reassurance for those who trust God; who are considered 'righteous' only because they believe in Jesus, not from any work of their own. It tells us that the future is bright and optimistic. Certainly the way ahead is good, and increasi...ng in knowledge and understanding as we involve our Creator in every part of our life and grow closer to Him. The 'wicked' are not necessarily just the real 'bad eggs', but all who completely reject Gods' gift of life through Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross for us. It is the worst danger there is, to go all through life this way. He is the way to life, there is no other. Give your life to Jesus today and trust him in everything, always. He will guard your way in all things and give you his peace no matter what. "I believe the Christian story as I believe the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else" Quote by CS Lewis. Amen. Be a blessing today. It is a Christians' duty and privilege to shine!
