18.01.2022 Surround yourself with the right people Surround yourself with the dreamers, and the doers, the believers, and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see the greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself. Edmund Lee Jim Rohn famously said that you are the average of the FIVE people you spend the most time with. There is an inherent truth to that, as we, as social creatures, pick up on the habits, behaviors, and attitudes of those around us.... What that means is that if you want the strength and positivity to get through anything, you must keep your circle of friends and associates as healthy as you can. Wherever possible, you must remove toxic relationships from your life, regardless of how tough it may be. And in situations such as work where you many not have control, you must learn how to practice positivity so it spreads to those around you. And the art of detachment is so valuable in this regard not cut off from people, or distant and cold detachment just means I am enough, I am content with myself and therefore not needy. A content, detached person is strong in self-respect, and because I do not need others to make me feel valuable, I can become a donor instead of a taker. Be the one person who loves YOU so much that you refuse to allow others to bring you down <3

18.01.2022 THE TWELVE DAYS let me recognise the circle of life we are all connected and the things each one does, the things that are done to the least of us, impact us all. With a ‘golden’ consciousness, embracing the value and beauty of each soul, we can encircle the world with love, peace, generosity, hope and joy. I will give my hand in connectedness and belonging; I am committed to the aspiration that we all embrace one another in spirit.

18.01.2022 Gratitude is the seed that sprouts positivity It’s a funny thing about life, once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack. Germany Kent Gratitude is a key tenet in all major philosophies, religions, and schools of thought. That’s because gratitude is a foundation of positive thinking. We only have a limited amount of FOCUS, so when you are able to be appreciative of what you HAVE, your brain is unable ...to give life and energy to thoughts about what you DON’T have. Seeing events in your life as gifts allows you to perceive how they may help you grow and become a better person, and the application of this attitude during tough times is the hallmark of resilience. Have you thought about making a list? Writing down all the things we are grateful for can help cement them in our consciousness. It’s easy to say, oh, yes, I know I have a lot to be grateful for, but writing them down makes us really think them through. It’s surprisingso get a lovely notebook, and go for it!

16.01.2022 Positivity is an attractive quality Positive thinking is more than just a tagline. It changes the way we behave. And I firmly believe that when I am positive, it not only makes me better, but it also makes those around me better. Harvey Mackay Because positivity is so infectious, it naturally becomes a quality that other people want in their lives. Those of us who can keep a positive attitude in the face of tough times, become an inspiration for everyone else. Positivity ...is an attractive personality trait, and can go far when it comes to personal and professional relationships. If you are not an inherently positive person, there are a number of ways by which you can change this. Writing, meditation, affirmations, and integrating more play into your life are all ways that you can rewire your brain to be more focused on the positive aspects of your experience. So there you have it, friends! So so many benefits when you embrace positive thinking, keep a positive attitude, surround yourself with positive people, and always have in your heart the desire to see others happy, help others feel better. In the end, this will make you happier, too <3 - https://bookwhen.com/bkafitzroy36

15.01.2022 Thought for the Day It’s not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. - Charles Darwin We have all experienced unimaginable changes over 2020, and the reality is many of these changes will be here into the future. We have also witnessed the difficulties that can emerge when people resist change. Being adaptable is probably one of the most powerful qualities we can have if we can adapt, in partnership with ...our innate intelligence, there is nothing we can’t do. But if we resist clinging to a past that is, well, frankly, passed our future will be coloured by that, the future of all of us. We are strong, we are invincible in our ability to adapt so today, let’s learn, lean in, and move forward.

15.01.2022 Thought for the Day It is very easy, in these dark times, to focus on all the negatives that are in play, and all the new negatives that keep arising every day. But it is a choice - and the most powerful things we can do, for our own health and state of mind, to become an inspiration for others, and to send out good vibrations into the world - is to dwell on who we want to become, and what we want the world to become. Today, let me use the inherent spiritual power of my mind to uplift...

12.01.2022 Thought for the Day The past: our cradle, not our prison; there is danger as well as appeal in its glamour. The past is for inspiration, not imitation; for continuation, not repetition. Israel Zangwill Every day the world moves on around us. Nothing stays the same, and sometimes we can assist change for the better, sometimes there is nothing we can do but accept. But what we are ALWAYS in charge of is how we respond to each moment, and especially, what our relationship... with the past is to be. Things that have happened are set; there is no benefit in wishing it wasn’t so. All we can do TODAY, is learn from the past, grow from the past, and bring about change that will make us stronger and better. But most of all, we have to ACCEPT the past and let go because getting stuck there, in any way, is of no possible use and will constrain all our tomorrows. Life is a journey, and we all know that journeys move onward, and give us so many opportunities that simply weren’t there yesterday. And even though at the moment our travelling is limited, we can especially journey inward so off you go <3 . . . , , . , ‘’, , . .

07.01.2022 The Benefits of Positive Thinking Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results; bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results We understand this law in the natural world, and work with it; but few understand it in the mental and moral world (although its operation there is just as simple and undeviating) and by not understanding, we do not embrace it. from James Allen There are four positive emotions that have a number of ripple effects on our behavi...or: joy interest contentment love " , , , , ." By adopting a positive mindset, these emotions come into play; our resilience increases and with it our capacity to explore the world, while feeling confident and secure. Negative thoughts and emotions, on the other hand, can skew our perspective and in the long-term, damage our self-esteem. These are the findings of Professor Barbara Fredrickson about the benefits of having a positive attitude. Let’s examine four major impacts relating to this over the next 4 days. . . . 07.01.2022 A positive attitude can recreate your reality You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will. Stephen King Much of what we see in the world is a reflection of how we feel inside. The brain is literally creating your experience, moment to moment, and part of this is by top-down processes. This means that your prefrontal cortex, the newest part of your brain, which deals with your thoughts, is relaying information to your mammalian cortex, which handles ...emotions. These emotions then go on to inform deeper and older parts of the brain, including sensory experience and pain. This means that when we say a positive attitude can recreate your reality, it’s not just a metaphor, it’s a physiological fact! Benjamin Fishel The fact that we all see the same thing differently is an amazing thing - so when I look at a tree, and you look at the same tree, we will both be seeing something a little different. Once we know this, it explains so much of why people disagree with each other, and stand on different sides of almost everything. But in a world that values diversity, we should be glad, right? The only extra things we need to do --- not be bothered by the fact that someone does not agree with me, and make sure to create a really positive reality for myself :)

05.01.2022 Thought for the Day The greatest friend of truth is Time, her greatest enemy is Prejudice, and her constant companion is Humility. Charles Caleb Colton It is said that Truth can’t remain hidden, that in time, all truth will be revealed. This is comforting but also involves Humility and Patience. Like so many natural laws, time runs at it’s own pace, not determined by human beings.... The greatest thing we can bring to life is to realise this truth we may want things to happen, happen fast, happen now, happen as we wish them to happen but we are part of a greater whole and what we can bring to the equation is our humility as we recognise that we are not in control of the flow of time, and patience as we recognise, and perhaps embrace, the beautiful pace of life.

03.01.2022 THE TWELVE DAYS let me speak out for those who need a voice. Not everyone is able to defend themselves or speak up, but when I have a commitment to justice, when I care, I will be prepared to offer support, or send my powerful thoughts to those in need. I can be a voice of hope. I will use my voice, but I also use my thoughts, to spread hope and courage, justice and respect.
