21.01.2022 Have you ever thought about the benefits of infant swimming lessons? Swimming promotes Bilateral cross-patterning movements, which use both sides of the body to carry out an action and in turn help your baby's brain develop. When swimming, your baby moves their arms while kicking their legs. By doing these actions in water, their brain is registering the tactile sensation of water as well as its resistance. These cross-patterning movements help to build neurons throughout the brain and aids communication and feedback from one side of the brain to another.
