18.01.2022 So thrilled to have been invited to Roma Mitchell Secondary School. Thank you to Scott for his support today and Huang for helping with the technology. Scott felt that the students were impacted by Maddy’s story. This was the first High school group - year 9 - what an amazing group of students. I could see by their faces that Maddy’s life mattered and her story has made a difference.I admire these schools that I have been blessed to speak to that they are brave enough to address bullying and try to reduce it so that we can save more youth from suffering the psychological damage that bullying does #stopbullying #youthmentalhealth #mentalhealth #choosekindness #kindnessmatters #bekind

13.01.2022 My beauty suffered long term psychological trauma because of bullying. Maddy fought the psychological and physical effects of bullying for 10 years of her life. The bullying left Maddy with severe anxiety, stomach aches, joint pain and she was diagnosed with high blood pressure at 16 years old. I wake up this morning on our National Anti Bullying day thankful that I have the opportunity to talk to 1300 students at Roma Mitchell High School. 09.01.2022 Speaking recently with two teachers I was so sad to hear that bullying is still rife in their schools. I have volunteered to speak to their students about Maddy’s story. The teacher I spoke with feared for the lives of a couple of her students because of the cyber bullying they were enduring. It just breaks my heart, kindness brings so much more power than cruelty, if only people could find empathy for each other, bullying would not be such an issue for our youth. 08.01.2022 Another opportunity to speak to year 6 and 7 at Christie’s Beach Primary School about Maddy’s story. The school have been focusing on anti bullying this week and I was really happy to be part of their anti bullying education. 03.01.2022 My beauty’s legacy continues My wish came true. I received confirmation this week that I will have the opportunity to speak to a northern suburbs high school assembly this month. My presentation was approved by their leadership group. It is a fifty minute lesson block Public speaking was always a fear but thanks to the opportunities Breakthrough MHRF @breakthroughmhr have given me over the last 6 months to tell Maddy’s story publicly and my passion to share her story to help others, especially our youth, I am not so frightened by it.
