13.01.2022 With all of the news articles we are seeing of home fires this summer, we would like to extend a special Thank Ewe to the The New Zealand Fire Service for their... diligent work protecting our homes, belongings and loved ones and for their support of wool as a flamesafe fibre. #woolisflamesafe See more

11.01.2022 A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to our crowdfunding campaign and shared our launch video We are so excited and humbled by all of the con...tributions that we have received. We are making excellent progress towards our goal. In case you missed our announcement, we are purchasing a full line of mini mill equipment to add to our current fibre processing system. This new equipment will enable us to spin fleeces into yarn in our shed on the NSW Central Coast. We have organised a crowdfunding campaign over at ReadyFundGo to help us defray some of the costs associated with freight, setup, shed expansion and electrical work. To thank you for your contribution, we are offering yarn spun on our new equipment as a reward - either for yourself or to be paid forward to the volunteers at Australians Knitting for War Affected Kids (AKWAK). Here's the link to our crowdfunding campaign: readyfundgo.com/projects/fibreartsshed Any questions - just let us know . 05.01.2022 After the sale we enjoyed an afternoon out at Stuart & Sue's farm. Looking over his sheep and also discussing the finer points of running a Wool competition, be...fore we enjoyed a meal together. Thanks to Kate and David for cooking the meat on the BBQ, not sure if Stuart was much help towards the cooking, but he did check in at the BBQ occasionally. Thanks to Stuart and Sue for hosting us. 05.01.2022 I made it myself! I looked after the gorgeous sheep who grew the wool, the 250kgs wool was sent to Geelong for scouring then to Bacchus Marsh for combing. It wa...s then transported via Bombala and picked up by Stew from Jemalong wools and dropped back off to me. I handspun it and crocheted it to design. Now I just finished it this morning and wearing it because it's cold!! See more
