21.01.2022 Tomorrow's karate class will be at springleigh Park under the tree's near the toilets due to graduation happening in the school hall. Please wear a training singlet and shorts or something comfortable and cool. Bring your belt, water, towel and sparring gear, we will be doing a mock grading in preparation for next weekends grading! 18.01.2022 A huge congratulations to all who graded today! A special Shout out to Peter who after a long time coming achieved his Black Belt today. Well done Pete, you made us all proud with the devotion, strength and effort you put in today! Another shout out to Kyosie Drew who achieved his 2nd Degree Black Belt today. 2nd Degree consists of 50 rounds of sparing. You worked hard today and pushed right through to the end. 16.01.2022 Unfortunately because Boonah's karate classes regular home is at a school we are unable to return yet. In the meantime we would like to offer classes at Springleigh Park on Tuesday and Thursday, strictly following the rules the government has set for us.This means social distancing, a hand sanitising Station and cleaning our training gear regularly. We will meet at 4pm near the basketball court looking to start class no later than 4:05pm and will train for an hour working on... requirement tags applicable to the current rule set plus we will play some games and have a bit of fun. Things are set to change as restrictions ease but it will be a good opportunity to get back into the swing of things and start working towards your next grading! Classes start next Tuesday the 9th of June, please bring comfortable training clothes, water and towel! 07.01.2022 A FRIENDLY REMINDER; With some new cases of the covid-19 virus in queensland I'd like to encourage everyone to stay vigilante and check the list of locations where contact tracing is occurring. If you believe you may have been at these locations at the given times or in contact with someone who has please do the right thing and get tested while isolating or if you feel unwell please do not come to training. I am so proud of everyone, not just the students who graded and competed today but everyone who has been training despite the extra challenges this year has thrown at us. What an excellent way to end the year strong, Osu!
