18.01.2022 Mobile Phone Coverage in Blackall/Tambo When visiting Blackall and Tambo, please be aware that only Telstra sim cards work within our region. Telstra Aldi (or any other third-party supplier of Telstra) does not provide coverage in our beautiful region, the same with Vodaphone and Optus.... If you would like to change your phone service (before travelling) from Optus to Telstra, it is advised to do it in a region that covers Optus phone service. Why you ask? We are happy to answer that for you! Telstra are happy to help you change from Optus to Telstra, however they are required to send a verification code to your Optus sim, which is irretrievable in our region as there is no phone service (even with WiFi). Many shops along your travels will sell Telstra sims, including most Post Officers, Newsagents and even Service Stations. We want to ensure that you stay connected with your family, friends (and of course, us!) on your travels through our magnificent region. 16.01.2022 If you like your art alfresco, then you’ll love the Blackall Sculpture Trail. There’s an incredible sculpture of an Eagle in its Nest made from railway dog spikes, timber and bolts from an old bridge. Another is called The Roly Poly. Located just outside of town the Roly Poly is all about fun. It’s also makes for a great photo on sunset. All up, there are nine unique sculptures along the trail. Each piece bears some significance to the town’s cultural or natural history. It’s definitely worth a look. #betterinblackall #totallytambo #outbackqueensland

05.01.2022 We all know travelling with kids can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, so why not let them out to burn some energy? In the main street of Tambo, you'll find E.E. Parr Park. It's fully equipped with a massive grassy area, fenced playground, small skate park, BBQ, public toilets and tables to sit at. 04.01.2022 Wild & Woolly This whimsical sculpture is the product of artist Christopher Trotter. It represents when wool was king and small body trucks piled high with bales of wool lumbered through the town. The front of the sculpture is one of the freight truck bought by Johnson Brothers Transport. Huge road trains thunder past dwarfing Wild and Woolly who remains a quirky reminder of Tambo’s past. #totallytambo #outbackqueensland #StayAnotherDay
