25.01.2022 Just another reminder to all our students - from tomorrow we'll be running lots more classes face to face at Hornsby Dojo, and have reduced the number of online options: - classes in yellow are taught face to face at Hornsby Dojo - classes in green are online and taught via Zoom. Students join from home... If you'd like to change your class day/time please let us know asap as 'in dojo' classes are filling fast!

Please - don’t come to Hornsby dojo if you (or anyone in your household) have been to the Northern Beaches in the last 14 days, OR are feeling (even slightly) unwell. Worried about missing Graduation? Please don’t be We will present you with your shiny new belt in your first class back in 2021. And you’ll have our undying gratitude- for helping us keep Hornsby dojo a safe space for all.

22.01.2022 BBMA Hornsby proudly support Share the Dignity in their 'It's in the bag' appeal each year. And yes, it's that time again! Yaaayyyy! We can start accepting your bags from next week, until SATURDAY NOVEMBER 28 (no bags can be accepted after this date). Filled bags are given to ladies (teens, mums, adults) escaping violence and poverty - often leaving home with just the clothes they are wearing and NOTHING else. ... Please find a large handbag or backpack. Fill it with new, full sized and unused toiletries and sanitary (period) products. Please include all the 'essential' items, and then use your creativity to add any extra luxury items you feel you would like to receive. In previous years, BBMA students and staff have shown incredible sensitivity and generosity - adding personal cards & notes, books, clothing, luxury skin care, scarves, wipes, brushes and combs, makeup, nail care, scented hand creams & lotions, stationery, hair accessories and SO much more to their bags. Sensei Josh and Ann are reduced to blubbering tears every year - as we have the privilege to drop off every one of your donated bags. Get the kids involved and show them the joy of giving - we find that children LOVE being involved in the process, and proudly bring their bags in for us each year :))) Please drop off your pre-filled bags at Hornsby Dojo - Suite 8, 6-18 Bridge Road Hornsby (we're the big white building on the corner of Bridge Road and Hunter Streets) from 1pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 5pm Saturday. Last day for drop off at BBMA Hornsby is Saturday November 28.

07.01.2022 POSITIONS AVAILABLE - BLACK BELT MARTIAL ARTS HORNSBY We are seeking expressions of interest from current or previous BBMA Teachers, Program Directors, and BBMA students/family members with a passion for Martial Arts. We have vacancies in the following areas:... 1. Martial Arts Teacher - Teaching Lil Dragon and Karate, or Lil Dragon and Kickboxing classes, along with a variety of internal/external events, school and holiday programs - Other duties as assigned (details provided on request) - Permanent part time, short term contract (eg full time for 3 months), and hourly casual positions available - Must have previous BBMA teaching experience, or be a current BBMA Leadership student serious about a career in Martial Arts - BBMA Level 2-3 role, depending on qualifications and prior experience 2. Program Director/School Manager - Sales, marketing, student relations, stats & reporting, social media & web content, business management - Some teaching also involved (we can train you if needed) - Permanent full time - BBMA Level 2-3 role, depending on qualifications and prior experience We open 6 days, and so have a variety of work shifts/options available. 07.01.2022 The NSW government have just made electronic check-in mandatory for every person attending our school (along with all other indoor recreational facilities). BBMA Hornsby are using the official Service NSW (government) app and QR code check in system. PARENTS, VISITORS & GUESTS - planning to come inside the dojo? Please download the Services NSW app (onto your smart phone) before arrival. You’ll then have an easy and fuss-free experience as you’ll be required to check in via ...our QR code. Current STUDENTS - QR code check in is NOT mandatory for you (although you’re welcome to do so). Our friendly team will now do all the work for you, and will record your attendance electronically (via our student software).
