23.01.2022 Keep an eye on your myGov inbox this tax time! Most people will be accessing their income statement (previously called a ‘payment summary’) through our online... services in myGov. If your myGov account is linked to our online services, we’ll let you know once your employer has made your income statement ‘tax ready’ - then, it can be used to do your tax return. Remember, many employers have until 31 July to do this. Lodge through an agent? No problem. Get in touch with them as usual they’ll have access to this info too. 11.01.2022 C O V I D - 1 9 U P D A T E ! ! At Blackbird, we understand the uncertainty that some people may be feeling about the increasing COVID-19 pandemic. At this time we are operating as normal but this could change at any moment where we deem it to be appropriate to shut our doors. Having said that, we are taking the advice of the World Health Organization very seriously. We are adhering to the below protocols effective immediately:... Regular cleaning with soap and sanitizing of hands. Disinfecting & sanitizing of door handles, pens, EFTPOS machine, credit/debit cards, benchtops and other areas that our clients and staff come into contact with in our reception area and around the office as a whole. Exercising the correct social distancing measures. We are also insisting to all staff and clients that if you are feeling unwell, or have recently been overseas or been in contact with someone from overseas, or been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days, to please stay at home and self-isolate. Should Blackbird inevitably need to close its doors in these unprecedented times, we will advise you immediately. We strongly recommend only coming into the office if it is absolutely necessary; we would encourage you to make a phone call appointment (8522 2022) or email us ([email protected]) instead should you need to contact us or your accountant. In the interim, we strongly recommend you take the advice from the Department of Health to stop the spread of COVID-19. Frequent handwashing, avoid touching your face (eyes, nose, mouth) and adhering to the social distancing measures are good prevention strategies. Lastly, in relation to the ongoing Government changes, stimulus packages and seeking our advice and assistance, we appreciate your patience and support as this is continually updating on a day-by-day basis. Please keep safe and we are always here should you require any further clarification.
