21.01.2022 'Perfectionism is the opposite of connection' - Rosanne Cash. I'm sharing this quote, as I often hear my imperfections when I speak. My inner-critic is the loudest when I am sharing my thoughts with others. So it's taken a little courage to share this podcast- I can hear all my imperfections and vulnerabilities. But as Brene Brown would say, being courageous enough to be vulnerable can only lead to connection. Thank you so much Pollination Mamas Shelley McClure for inviting... me to be a part of her podcast, for her help sharing this song, and for connecting mamas. Shelley has some amazing conversations in her podcast and you should should definitely check them all out!! @ https://www.pollinationmamas.com/

21.01.2022 Nothing makes history like a lover’s tale... This song was written as a surprise gift and was presented to the bride and groom at their wedding reception. Information for the song was gathered through multiple text messages and phone calls from many of the bride’s friends and family. The song was then created from these small snippets of information, and became a gift from all involved in its creation.

We have been so touched by the experience and feel very honoured to hear such real and honest stories of post natal depression and anxiety. 05.01.2022 'The Valley Below' ...A project connecting women's experiences of postnatal depression & anxiety through song. Over the next few months, Shara and I will be writing a song for perinatal anxiety and depression awareness (PANDA) week. This is a project that has long been in our hearts, and we are excited to be finally doing it!... For this song, we will gather the stories and experiences of a number of different women who have experienced postnatal depression or anxiety. We will then write a song that will reflect the collective experiences of these women. This song will be shared and performed during PANDA week in November. It is our hope that this song may offer comfort, hope, understanding and a feeling of connectedness to all mothers. We are currently inviting women who have had an experience of postnatal depression or anxiety to be involved in this project through the sharing of their story. If anyone is interested, or knows of anyone who may be interested in this project, please get in touch, we would love to hear from you! Please see the below link for more information. Thank you! 05.01.2022 A song expressing the fierce love a mother feels for her daughter; in this song the mother communicates to her daughter the amazing little girl she sees. The recording of this song was especially unique, as the young girl played a part on her recorder. This was a fantastic experience for the daughter, and helped her to feel like she really ‘owned’ the song and that she was part of the process.

04.01.2022 A song celebrating the blissful peace felt by a mother when simply being with her young children- an experience made all the more obvious to her after coming out of a hard time of suffering post natal depression. A real tribute to the simple joys of motherhood and a gift to herself marking the beginning of a more positive time in her journey as a mother.
