23.01.2022 Today's work ran deeper than Locs, we all felt it. This was a personal statement to self, I believe an act of self love. Our client closed her eyes went within took some time. It was beautiful. There were also moments of busyness in the studio but all were met with grace and kindness beautiful qualities I thought... thankyou x Sami and Fiona created the most beautiful set, our client embraced the change of colour and age yet with some fun purple and teal accents. 09.01.2022 Just beautiful Locs from today. Super stunning dreads we made some years back..but somedays we say no maintenance required and today was one of those. With age, health and weight, the hair follicles sometimes get stressed and this head showed this so we sent our beautiful client home with advice on adding supplements, improved diet and wellbeing advice and no maintenance for at least another few months if at all...Oh we also gave a trim too to reduce some weight. #blackcockatoodreadlocks #whentosayno #dothingsright

Yet there's still quite alot whom freak out about the thought of it...so I'm wondering could those whom love washing this way make a little quick vid and say why it works for them and send it on via a pm? 04.01.2022 As with all small business we have to bend with the wind and reinvent ourselves and this year certainly has been one of those for us all. Earlier this year I had thought that I were to put the tools down and retire my hook but as true as the winds come and go I had to put on my big girl pants and re organise this little venture we call BCDreads. Not knowing which way to go other than keep working..I did nothing till the universe presented me with this change. This time it ca...me with a very old and dear friend of mine showing up and it felt like a warm embrace of care and support, which is Fiona. And that very same week Sami appeared full of excitement and eagerness offering help and kindness. It was all sorts of overwhelm...yet amazing all in one. They are brilliant women bringing different vibes to the studio which I have noticed deeply and I know clients have felt it too. The place has a calmness about it now... its very nice. I too saw our other studios go on their merry way and of course wish them well and heaps of fun in the future with Dreads. And so we are now one studio with three tec working together creating the best possible Dreads we can, with the best possible team we can be.
