23.01.2022 Semen tested all of our 2018 P drop bulls today with excellent results! Many thanks to Keith and the team at Ovasem for all there efforts today. A big day to get through all the bulls at 2 different locations but we got there in the end and the cattle behaved very well. 22.01.2022 Well, we have made it home from another successful Sydney Royal show. The biggest team we have taken to a show exhibiting 9 pure breed Speckles, 1 Speckle steer and 4 Limousins We came away with the following class results 2nd - BD Navigator N67 2nd - BD Poker Face P259... 2nd - BD Pressure Point P214 3rd - BD Nia N87 4th - BD Pick Me Up P269 2nd - DC Knockout Group 3rd - RH Teasher 38T Group We also got a 2nd, 3rd and 5th with 3 of our 4 Limousin entries To top off a great show for the cattle we also had our 3 helpers compete in the junior Judging and handlers competition with all of them receiving a ribbon in the handlers and Sophie getting 5th in the judging. An outstanding way to finish what had been a very long week. We must give a massive thanks to all who helped us out over the show but especially to our 2 young helpers Sophie Worth and Angela McGrath who were a terrific asset to our team helping Mum, Blake and I. Also to our fitter Pat Rankmore and Ben Heffernan for also helping us at the show. Now for the short turnaround time to get the new team ready to head up for the Scone Speckle Park Sale and Youth camp where we have 18 lots for your competition in the sale and have offered 8 head to be used in the youth show. 22.01.2022 Well another successful trip to Canada has come to an end. It has been great networking with fellow Speckle Breeders and inspecting so many excellent cattle. Were privileged to be able to see so many studs/ranches, both new and upcoming as well as being able to revisit some of our favourites. We would like to thank everyone that hosted Mum and I over the past 10 days showing such true Canadian hospitality. We would also like to thank and introduce our new business partners,... Harv & Fran Fehr from Highmark Speckle Park Joe & Gayle Stookey from Pura Vida Acres Gord & Cindy Condely from Dan Dee Rio Ranching We were thrilled to be able to work with Highmark Speckle Park and Pura Vida Acres to secure River Hill 5C FARR-OUT 827F This bull really caught our eye upon inspection at River Hill and we were extremely impressed with the quality of his parents as well. FARR-OUT also has all of the desired genomic test results making him the complete package! We also worked with Dan Dee Rio Ranching to purchased Codiak Fantasia GNK 47F an exciting young heifer with lots of depth of body and a clean feminine front. We are looking to the future with both of these new additions and are extremely happy to have been given the opportunity to access these new genetics. See more

18.01.2022 What a privilege its been to have such great friends and business partners come from Canada and visit us here in Australia over the past two days. Friends we made on our last trip to Canada 10 months ago and a couple we met as they arrived at our farm, we have been honoured to host Harv and Fran Fehr of Highmark Speckle Parks and Joe and Gayle Stookey of Pura Vida Acres. Countless hours talking cows since we met and especially while they have been here, it has been great to ...spend the time showing them our operation here in Australia and show what we are bringing their Speckle Park embryos and semen back to, here in Australia. We look forward to continuing our friendship and building our cow herds together in both Canada and Australia. We wish them well on the rest of their holiday around Australia and safe travels home. We cant wait to visit Canada again and to see the great cattle we own together.

13.01.2022 We havent posted in a while but we have certainly been busy. Among AI stud and commercial cows, implanting embryos and weighing and tagging new calves we have been making the most of the school holidays breaking in this springs show string. Blake has been putting in lots of time along with Murray to get the team all broken and leading and its amazing to see how quickly they have all responded after only 7 times tied up. Now this lot are well on there way its time to start on our large team of steers for Melbourne Show. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Adelaide and Melbourne shows and check in on our page for more updates of how the string is going as we get closer to the shows

13.01.2022 Better late then never! We are ecstatic to have received 8th place in the 2020 Beef Spectacular Feedback Trial. Being only the second year we have had steers entered in the trail, we have certainly improved on last years results. Overall we entered 3 teams; 2 Speckle Park/Angus teams and one pure Limo team. Our Speckle Park cross teams received 8th and 14th places out of the 95 teams! They had excellent feedlot performance in terms of weight gain with all our Speckle ste...ers putting on greater then 2.48 kg a day and some, over 3kg a day. They also rated 3rd and 8th for Team Profit, calculated by the purchase price and carcass price Teys received for the bodies. As a side note we were also very happy to have 3 of our limo steers have greater than a 60% dressing percentage. These were also the only steers that cracked the 60% mark! They were French pure 100% Limousins from our commercial herd. We would like to thank The Land and Teys Australia for putting the trial together and we would like to encourage people to enter teams later in the year as there is such great feedback that comes out of the trial.

12.01.2022 We are once again excited to announce we have partnered with Fleetwood Speckle Park from Canada on Walkerbrae Ulysses Rose 43G This standout young heifer caught our attention in the first Autumn Debutant Sale ... She is long bodied, easy fleshing and carries a tonne of muscle performance on a very feminine front end. We think she has a lot of potential to add to our herd here in Australia and with our partners overseas. Stay tuned for her calf when it arrives in early 2021

09.01.2022 Judging day for the steers today at the 2019 Royal Melbourne Show

09.01.2022 PUREBRED Speckle Park steer WINS on BOTH the Hoof and Hook BDS P399 was on Friday awarded Champion steer on the HOOF at our local Swan Hill Show. Then on Tuesday after being graded and scored through MSA scoring system he was named Champion on the HOOK as well. We couldnt have been happier with these results. P399 was in the export division of the competition weighing in at 480kg on the hoof and had a carcass weight of 271.5kg returning a dressing percentage of 56.56% He a...lso had the 3rd biggest eye muscle of the competition We had a total of 5 head entered with 4 of them being Speckle or Speckle Park cross steers entered in the competition and couldnt be happier with how they all performed. Congratulations to all of the other competitors on their results and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year See more

08.01.2022 Wow! He is full of red meat! This comment has described this bull since a calf and he keeps getting better and better with age. Black Diamond 61Y Poster Boy P207 (BDS P207)... A balanced super maternal bull that is packed full of RED MEAT. Coming from one of the most consistent sire lines in the breed for producing great matron cows and with the maternal lines of the Jade family you might expect a more feminine easy fleshing bull. 08.01.2022 We are excited to add this new Female to our Canadian donor pen. Pinot Grigio was selected for her depth of body, clean front end and overall power and performance in her growth pattern. We also think that the combination of Anna 4C and Zepplin, compliment one another extremely well. We are sure that Pinot Grigio will breed as consistently as her mum. Going back to the 8R cow this extremely solid cow family has proven itself over and over again. Zeppelin also needs no introd...uction adding great amount of power into his calves and Pinot Grigio is no exception. We would like to thank Fleetwood Speckle Parks for partnering with us again and look forward to seeing her on our next visit. We would also like to thank Rob and Janice and the whole team at INC for offering such a quality female from their program.

BD J17 Perfume P360 was also placed in the top 6 out of 22 heifers in the 12-16 month class Bull classes 1st in class 18-20M BD 60A Prime Time P192 2nd in class 18-20M BD 61Y Poster Boy P207 3rd in class 16-18M BD J154 Provoker P301 For Champion Female, we had 3 out of the 8 females (including our limo heifer) in the judging lineup which we are rapped about.
