05.01.2022 We have been carefully monitoring state and national advice regarding the Corona Virus, and have decided that our 1 Dayers will go ahead tomorrow as planned. W...e know that some people are concerned about the Corona Virus. If you are concerned, we urge you to make your own decision about whether or not you attend our 1 Dayer. You should do your own research on this topic, but here is some basic information for you about what you can do to minimise the risk of infection. Cold and Flu (and Corona Virus) Prevention: First, please don't panic. The advice we have is that the Cold, the Flu, and the Corona Virus are all "droplet" transmitted - meaning they are not airborne. So transmission happens through: -contact - for example, shaking someone's hand, then at some point touching your nose, mouth, or rubbing your eyes. -being close to someone when they sneeze or cough without covering their mouth. Because of this the World Health Organisation recommends personal protective measures like: -Regular hand washing with proper drying of the hands -Good respiratory hygiene covering mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, using tissues and disposing of them correctly -Early self-isolation of those feeling unwell, feverish and having other symptoms of influenza -Avoiding close contact with sick people -Avoiding touching one’s eyes, nose or mouth The contents of this statement is provided as general information only. You should do your own research on the spread of disease and consult your medical professional for advice. Black Dog Ride does not accept liability as a result of the use, misuse or reliance on the information contained in this statement.

03.01.2022 We are accepting Community Funding Grant Applications from today, until March 27th 2020. Grant applications can be between $1,000 and $5,000 in value, and commu...nity based not-for-profit organisations and community groups involved in helping those with mental health issues, or at risk of suicide can apply. Please help us to get funding out where it can make a real difference. You can do this by passing on our details to any eligible group. Anyone wanting to apply can email us via [email protected] and request a grant application form. Let's get funding out where it's needed. Since launching our Community Funding Grant program late last year we have made a great start by committing $49,847 in small grants for local community programs in all states of Australia. Now we want to push ahead, getting far more funding out to support local mental health and suicide prevention programs. And given the terrible fires which raged right across Australia since November we are keen to support the mental health of those involved in fighting the fires, and those affected by the fires.

02.01.2022 Well we are getting close now. Everything is falling into place and even the weather is deciding to bring its best. Those in Wallan and surrounds, for an idea... of numbers heading up who will be meeting at McDonalds in Wallan for a 7am stands up? And who will be wanting to join in at Kilmore?? See more
