08.01.2022 Another example of a good training exercise. Conditioned Emotional Response (CER) protocols are introduced from when the pups are very young and need to be reinforced as they get older. One example of this type of protocol is to trade high value treat for something you want to take from them, such as a bone, a shoe, a tennis ball. Basically, the ‘goodness’ of whatever you are giving the dogs has to trump whatever you are doing to the dog, from body handling to taking away possessions, to displacing him from a location.
