08.01.2022 The day the Queen was nearly lost during a split. The frame pictured shows drone (male) brood on the left, worker (female) brood on the right and 7 queen cells, almost ready to hatch (there were at least 20 in this hive). The close up shows mature pupae, visible side on through the recently damaged comb (this part of the nest was built into the roof of the hive), and another queen cell. All to hatch very soon
