Hi everyone, you should have received an email from Rob, but just as a reminder, our 2020 AGM will be held as a Zoom meeting on Thursday 3rd September at 8pm. We would love you to join us if you can. If you would like to volunteer just a small amount of your time to help as a Committee member for the coming year, we would really appreciate it, as we will need some help to get Blacklords back up and running as the most... successful foil club in Australia! Victoria Fitzgerald (President) to present the financial statements for the year 2019 of the club certified by her and Rob Di Pasquale as giving a true and fair view of the club’s financial position and performance. The members to vote on whether to accept the financial statements for 2019. 2. Rob and Victoria to sign certification (this will be carried out via mail after voting by the meeting). 3. Victoria presents the minutes for the 2019 Annual General Meeting. The members to vote on whether to accept the minutes for the 2019 Annual General Meeting. Minutes were attached to email. 12.01.2022 Last night's Blacklords 2019 Presentation Night was held at Sofia's pizza restaurant. Thanks to Senior coaches Robert Di Pasquale, Eason Wen, Taís De M. Rochel, together with our Junior Coaches, who made the difficult decisions about the awards. With over 120 people, there was a great variety of club members in attendance with the DJ, Vulcan, who did a great job catering for the soundtracks to the awards and photo movie and of course the dancing! Loli's Art Balloons donated... the beautiful creative balloon arrangement, Matt Foster put together the awards slide show, Jasper MacCuspie compiled and awarded the Sommerville Cup, and Fencing Imports Australia and some club members contributed to our raffle. Many members sent in photos for the huge 150 picture photo slide movie. A big thanks to Geoff Webber who took the photos of the award recipients. 11.01.2022 In the last day of the individual comp. we were AMAZING! Congratulations everyone!!! We have the best result in Australia!!!

09.01.2022 This weekend was the big kids’ turn with the Oceania Open Nationals in Canberra. The Men’s Foil Team event capped off a successful campaign for Blacklords with Lucas Webber and Ned Fitzgerald forming half of the victorious Victorian A team and Hugo part of the bronze medal B team. As usual, the final was a thriller against NSW and a sweet result. And yesterday in the individual we had a standout performance by Chris Nagle to clinch the silver, going down in the final by a si...ngle point, and Lucas Webber claiming a bronze. In addition, Ned Fitzgerald made the top 8, Luka made the 16 and Colin, Nicky, Hugo and Dylan all fenced well to make the top 32! Thankyou to our coach Robert Di Pasquale for coming along to coach everyone on the day, it is certainly an advantage to have you there alongside. 08.01.2022 Official Victorian Club Champions! Out of 11 clubs competing today, we came out tops after competing strongly in both Foil and Epee. Well done to all of our competitors, coaches, officials and parent helpers today. Those who remained til the end of the day were rewarded with the announcement.. sorry to the young ones who had already left :)

07.01.2022 Congrats to all Blacklords fencers who have competed in the under20 Nationals in Melbourne this weekend. Among the great results all round we had two bronze medalists today with Nicky Ong and Thomas Colgan in the Mens’ Foil, carrying on a long tradition of Blacklords success at this event. 03.01.2022 The Adult Beginner class will be resuming for 2020 this Wednesday! What a great time to come along and give it a go. If you’ve always wondered what it’s like or you have a friend who is interested, come along for our introductory 6-pack offer. We offer 6 sessions of your choice (come when you can) for $100 (plus you need to register with Fencing Vic to cover you for insurance). All ages and abilities are welcome. Put on some long pants, turn up and have a laugh (we have all the gear that you can borrow). Contact Rob for more info.
