20.01.2022 One piercing that is frequently requested to help with headaches or migraines is the Daith. Some people state that their headaches are improved after they get this piercing. This is a very individual response and has not been researched at all. The daith piercing is located near the Zero Point, which in acupuncture is used more as a whole body balancing point, and also helps enhance other points being treated. It is also near a point used for the large intestine. The large in...testine acupuncture points are treated on other parts of the body to assist with headaches. Another less known piercing for headaches is the Anti-Tragus. The picture below shows the points (in red) that are treated for the brain and headaches. The 2 lovely ladies pictured have had their anti-tragus pierced this week, to hopefully relieve their headaches. We will keep you updated with their experiences and if they get the relief they are hoping for

15.01.2022 Its been a few weeks now, and I have checked in with these customers to see how their piercings are going and if they have helped their headaches at all. Both felt that their headaches have improved to a degree - one noticed a slight improvement to the severity of their headaches, the other noticed less frequency and not as severe. I have also spoken to customers who had their Daith pierced back in April to try and help their headaches. One lady would get them daily and at ...times vomit due to the pain, and she has not had any headaches since. Another customer who got headaches very regularly states she has had hardly any headaches since getting her piercing. These are fantastic results. As you can see the results vary considerably - from a slight difference, to a dramatic improvement. I will continue to check in and see how the results go over time. At the end of the day its great if the headaches improve, with the worst case being an awesome new piercing

03.01.2022 It has been a few months since my post on the Shenmen piercing. The Shenmen is a point used to treat anxiety and depression in acupuncture. I have had many customers request the Shenmen piercing to hopefully help with their symptoms of anxiety. Just like with the daith piercing for headaches, this piercing seems to be more effective with time. I have checked in with 5 of my customers that had their Shenmen point pierced in the last few months. A couple werent sure if it had... helped or not, but the other 3 said that they felt it had definitely helped with a general sense of calmness and ability to cope with stress. There is no medical research into piercing of acupuncture points helping symptoms of health issues. However, many customers feel that certain piercings have helped them. This is a really great outcome for these individuals, but at the end of the day whatever the outcome is, they have an awesome new piercing

01.01.2022 There are about a hundred acupressure points on the ear, and they are terrific for treating any kind of anxiety, depression, grief, or just a rough day. Acupuncture is highly effective for anxiety and depression and the Shenmen is an essential point in this treatment. This beautiful person had me pierce her Shenmen point today, to hopefully help with anxiety. It is a georgeous piercing which looks really great on her. I will be checking in with her soon to see how effective the piercing has been, and will keep you updated.
