24.01.2022 Combat Sports Authority COVID-19 Update as at 19 June 2020 The Combat Sports Authority of NSW (the Authority) met on 10 June 2020 to consider the Orders made u...nder the Public Health Act 2010 and other NSW Health advice affecting the resumption of combat sport contests in NSW. The Authority also considered announcements made by the NSW Government earlier that day regarding its intention to amend the Orders to further ease restrictions on gatherings and enable the recommencement of community sport, full training and contact activities from 1 July 2020. The Authority is keen to ensure that combat sport contests resume as soon as practicable but are also held in accordance with the Orders made under the Public Health Act 2010 and NSW Health guidelines. The Authority will consider the amended Orders to come into effect on 1 July 2020 when published and then communicate details on the process to apply for a combat sport contest permit in accordance with any restrictions included in the Orders. The Authority will meet to discuss the amended Orders on 2 July 2020. The combat sport contest permit application process may include a requirement for a promoter to have a COVID-19 Safety Plan for the contest (including the weigh-in) and associated venues. Additionally, conditions may be imposed on permits that require the promoter to ensure the contest is held in accordance with the COVID-19 Safety Plan. The NSW Government has developed several COVID-19 Safety Plan checklists for the sport and recreation sector which are available for download. A checklist for combat sport contests is currently being developed. COVID-19 Safety Plans Additional information is available at the Australian Institute of Sport website and the SafeWork NSW website including additional COVID-19 related information for employers. 04.01.2022 Traffic Update - Reopening of View Street View Street will reopen to traffic at the intersection of the Oxley Highway from tomorrow, Thursday 6 August 2020 (...weather permitting). Following the reopening, finishing work will continue on the Oxley Highway roundabout. The work includes concreting traffic islands, kerbs, landscaping and asphalting the road surface of the approach roads. 40 While work is continuing on the roundabout, traffic control will be in place, along with a temporary 40 km/h reduced speed limit through the work zone.
