25.01.2022 Dear family and friends of BTC, In light of the current and ongoing situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Blackout Theatre Company regret to inform you all that the company will not be producing any large-scale shows in 2020. Despite some easing of restrictions occurring since earlier this year, social distancing guidelines and regulations governing mass gatherings that continue to remain in effect and have proved challenging for many live theatre companies, BTC have m...ade the decision to not stage any large-scale shows in 2020 to ensure the safety and well-being of our community and members. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s support. Although we were looking forward to staging ‘We Will Rock You’ which was postponed from its original season run in May, the production will regrettably be cancelled entirely. For those who have purchased tickets to the show, you will be contacted by our ticketing team in the coming days regarding the option of ticket exchanges toward any future productions BTC stages or a refund. Please be patient while we work our way through the booking lists and be reassured that you WILL be contacted. You may also wish to waive your ticket purchase as a donation to the company. As a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, BTC relies entirely on ticket sales to remain afloat. Our resources are currently stretched and we hope to see your continued support in 2021 and coming years. It is with your support that we are able to continue as a company to provide first class entertainment to the wider community. We thank you for your support and understanding. Kind regards, Blackout Theatre Company
