24.01.2022 The Year One’s participated in a virtual Mad About Science Incursion today for National Science Week. Since the theme is Deep Blue, we learnt about the different layers of the ocean, where different sea animals live and how we can protect our ocean. We loved participating in the fun, hands on experiments too!

18.01.2022 BRPS BOOK WEEK celebrations commence next week! BOOK WEEK DRESS UP DAY! On Monday 19th October, all BRPS students and staff are invited to dress up as their favourite book character.... FUN BOOK WEEK CHALLENGES TO DO AT HOME: design your own fictional book cover write a book recommendation recreate a book cover of a published book take a picture of you sharing your favourite book with a special person/animal Templates will be available on Compass/Wabisabi from 19th October. Entries due 27th October. Everyone is welcome to submit an entry. We will have some small prizes for the most creative submissions! VIRTUAL AUTHOR VISIT! On Friday 30th October, we will welcome New York Times best-selling author and BPRS friend, Adam Wallace. Adam will visit BRPS students (virtually) to share his books, illustrations and life as an award-winning author. He will give students an insight into the process he follows to write and illustrate his books, and how he comes up with all his crazy ideas. All students will attend a virtual session with Adam.

12.01.2022 2020 Incursions - virtually. The Year One’s loved participating in the Mad About Science Kitchen Chemistry Incursion as part of our Bend it Stretch it Inquiry topic. The highlight was definitely making Wizz Fizz!

11.01.2022 Yesterday the Year One students enjoyed a Team Building incursion. They worked in teams and partners to build towers, complete tricky obstacle courses and play balance ball. What a wonderful way to finish the school year and work with friends that we may not have before.

01.01.2022 What a day the Year One’s had. First up was a Science Incursion. They learnt about materials and their properties, and got to make their very own plastic using milk and vinegar! Next up was focussing on the procedure texts they have been learning about. Today they followed a procedure on how to make fruit kebabs. The perfect treat on a warm day!
