16.01.2022 Remember those days. A coffee van turns up, usually red or some other LOUD colour. You’re desperate for a coffee, you’re nervous but sure this time it’ll be different. You ask if they take card, they laugh. It’s already not looking good. As you’re searching the bottom of your bag for those things called coins, your nostrils catch a whiff of the wafting smell of old milk. It arrives foaming out of the lid and you know your flat white represents that of a coffee-flavoured- baby... chino. You sip, cough, walk to the bin and conclude you’d rather walk around weary eyed than drink (probably twice used) coffee from a coffee van. Well we set out to reset people’s expectations around coffee vans. I’d be lying if I told you it was easy. Many a free coffees floated across our bench tops for the sake of educating people on how coffee SHOULD be delivered from a van tailgate. Two and half years down and we’ve got fire in our eyes.
