Gentle stock handling pays dividends with easier to manage cattle who in turn produce quiet calves (epigenetics). The key is to allow enough time to move the mob and avoid situations where you are racing against the clock. These heifers have only been on this farm for 2 days and don’t know their way around and the bull hasn’t been up this end of the farm since he was a calf.
