25.01.2022 Blackstone Business Solutions was founded after over 20-years in the accounting industry. I wanted to use all the expertise and knowledge I gained from being part of a high-performing corporate team, to provide a few select clients with a personal, tailored service you just cant get from a larger company. I love being able to tangibly see the positive results I make in their businesses. A problem-solver, I find great joy and satisfaction in working with clients who might be ...overwhelmed with their current situation and watching their stress melt away as I help them implement the solutions they need to reach their goals. Because I can offer a 1-on-1 service, I build solid, trusting relationships with clients and provide support and advice year-round. Its not just about business! I also love seeing the impact on the personal lives of my clients when their businesses begin to give them more financial freedom. When you have control of your finances, it creates the platform for you to achieve more both personally and professionally and I would love to be a part of that for you and your business. Adriano Di Lazzaro.

24.01.2022 Can we help? Book your complimentary financial review (current year) to ensure you are on the right track and for advice on maximising deductions and minimising potential problems for sustainable financial health.

24.01.2022 Theres recently been a big tax law change that may reduce the tax deductions for many businesses across Australia. This may happen if you: 1. Dont lodge your BASs on time; or... 2. Dont lodge your payroll each week using Single Touch Payroll (STP); or 3. Dont properly withhold a tax amount from a payment before you pay it to an employee or a contractor. Make sure that this doesnt happen to you!

23.01.2022 Blackstone is fully certified and accredited to offer a full suite of tax, advisory and accounting services.

21.01.2022 THINKING OF SELLING YOUR BUSINESS? Do not sell without first gaining professional advice. For the majority of small to medium sized business owners, the value of your business is your biggest asset, and very likely, your retirement fund.... Upon sale of your business it is critical you receive the maximum available net proceeds. However, many taxpayers miss this once in a lifetime chance through poor transactions planning and the holding of assets in inappropriate structures. Just because you consider yourself a small business does not mean you have automatic access to all available CGT concessions. While the rules are complex, if the correct planning is in place, a husband and wife team can receive up to $4 million tax free after the sale of their business. (If youve run your business for at least 15 years, all the sale proceeds might be tax free!)

10.01.2022 Changes to the JobKeeper Payment The JobKeeper Payment has assisted businesses significantly affected by COVID-19. The ATO has issued over $37 billion in payments. This has covered more than 989,000 businesses including not-for-profits, and more than 3.6 million individuals.... Changes from 3 August The government has introduced changes to the JobKeeper Payment, making it easier for businesses to qualify. The rules have now been registered and are effective from 3 August 2020. These changes include: employees eligibility for the JobKeeper Payment can now be assessed in reference to 1 July 2020 employees can now be nominated by new employer if their employment has changed since the JobKeeper Payment began however, they can still only be nominated by one employer at any given time Eligible businesses can still enrol at any time until the program closes.

10.01.2022 On 21 July 2020, the Government announced that JobKeeper would be extended to 28 March 2021, but it will have reduced payments to employers and it will be harder to qualify to receive it. All employers wanting to claim JobKeeper payments from 28 September 2020 will need to reassess their eligibility again and prove that their turnover has declined based on actual figures. Some businesses that did not qualify for the original JobKeeper payments may find that they now qualify f...or the new JobKeeper payments. Our services and advice are very important to you in 2 key ways. 1. We will assist you to claim the maximum amount available. 2. We will give you the peace of mind that your JobKeeper application and declarations are correct, avoiding any ATO fines and penalties for incorrect declarations and lodgements.

09.01.2022 Payroll Tax Grants/Concessions for WA Businesses The State Government has announced a great deal of payroll tax measures to assist businesses impacted by COVID-19. A one-off grant of $17,500 will be available for employers/groups of employers, whose annual Australian taxable wages are greater than $1 million up to $4 million. A group of employers will be paid a single grant to the designated group employer. Eligible employers will automatically be paid from July 2020.... The payroll tax threshold will be increased to $1 million from 1 July 2020. This brings forward the original date of 1 January 2021 for the threshold increase. This will save eligible employers an estimated $1,375 to $1,625 in payroll tax. Approximately 300 businesses will no longer be liable for payroll tax because of the threshold increase and may benefit from additional saving on compliance costs. Employers/groups of employers, who pay $7.5 million or less in Australian taxable wages and have been directly/indirectly impacted by COVID-19 may postpone their monthly payroll tax payments until 21 July 2020. A business is affected if the current turnover, profit, customers, bookings, retail sales, supply contracts etc, compared with normal conditions, have been directly/indirectly affected by COVID-19.

01.01.2022 A WARNING Backdating logbooks is a very bad idea, as most commercial logbooks available for purchase by business owners are secretly dated. This makes it easy for the ATO to identify if a logbook has been manufactured after the fact.
