24.01.2022 Everyone needs to watch this movie, it’s on netflix now. Whether you are a believer in climate change or not really doesn’t matter. I am in no way a greenie , I just understand that our agricultural models are not sustainable, and this movie pretty much sums up the whole regenerative agriculture movement. There is no doubt it is the way of the future, mainly because it has to be. Things have to change, our food production methods are slowly killing us, and destroying our soils. The proof is all around us, more illness, more birth defects, more autism, more cancer, desertification of landscapes and droughts, the list goes on and on. What more proof do you need? Why do you think this is happening? https://youtu.be/K3-V1j-zMZw

23.01.2022 I’ve been doing a few water infiltration tests at home today and taking a few Brix readings as well. Some pretty interesting results. It confirms the belief I’ve held for a while now that ploughing actually hinders rainfall infiltration. I tested a paddock that hasn’t had any form of tillage for over 8 years against another that has been ploughed frequently over the last 10 years, the results?..... the paddock that hasn’t been ploughed for years has over double the infiltration capacity of the ploughed paddock!! The shovel backs up those results too , no structure, not an earth worm to be found, and poor legume root nodulation in the ploughed paddock. Things look considerably better in the no till paddock, and it’s clearly holding much better moisture too.
22.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and a very prosperous new year. Hopefully 2021 delivers a better time for everyone after a pretty undesirable 2020.
20.01.2022 These guys look pretty happy with things at the moment

14.01.2022 I’m pretty excited about this 17 species cover crop, I’ve never planted such diversity before. I also trialled two separate biological seed coatings. Crop is germinating now. Watch this space. #nutritechsolutions #islandbiologicals #regenerativeagricultureaustralia
11.01.2022 The cooler months are the ideal time to add soil amendments like lime or Dolomite. These need time to do their job. With most soils in our district being highly acidic and locking up vital nutrients that plants cant access, lime is a very economic tool to correct this acidity. Contact us to discuss your ground spreading needs today.
11.01.2022 Oats , vetch , and ryegrass looking good , and brixing at 12. It will definitely make some happy fat cattle !
11.01.2022 This is what 10 tonnes per hectare of feedlot manure looks like. ( From a tractor with no driver He stepped out of the office to take the video) Adding manures and composts aids in soil microbiology and overall soil health. A change of direction here at my place. Less chemical fertilisers, more natural biology, and a lot less tillage. Fingers crossed for some rain

09.01.2022 Pretty awesome when customers take drone footage of me cutting their crop. Thanks Grant and Kylie.
06.01.2022 What is Brix? And what benefits does a high Brix crop have over a low Brix crop? Check out this link. Brix really is the most important measure of a plants health, and of the growers skills in providing the right conditions for the plant to photosynthesise properly. https://blog.nutri-tech.com.au/the-beauty-of-brix/
