24.01.2022 Last week, friends and family came together to honour the life of Carol Battle. Saying goodbye is never easy, but with a gentle guidance and support of a professional memorial service director, it may be a bit easier. Meagan from Carlyle Family Funerals have arranged a beautiful service and provided support throughout the whole process. Carols life had been displayed in a respectful manner with the help of Belinda Jane Video, a professional offering a variety of tribute services. Compassion and care is appreciated at such a difficult time.
24.01.2022 Let's be honest, entertaining guests and making sure everyone is having an equally great time is not an easy deed. For the past thirty years, we've hosted all kinds of events - weddings, birthday, school formals, seminars, and so much more. Entertainment-wise, we have truly seen it all. So, we humbly offer our top three ideas to keep your guests entertained and raving about the party for weeks to come. 1. Set a Theme ... Get creative with a throwback theme (a famous movie or a decade is a guaranteed win) that encourages your guests to dress up and arrive ready to have fun. Make sure to set the mood with the appropriate decor. The classic backdrop of The Black Tie can be dressed up or down for any type of theme or event. 2. The Perfect Playlist Whether a sit-down dinner or a straight-up dance party, music can make or break your event. We recommend starting with some mellow tunes and slowly building up the tempo. As your guests start to relax, faster music can get them out of the seats and mingling or dancing. 3. Dance the Night Away Dancing is a physical and emotional stimulant and is a proven way to make people happy. Hire a dance instructor to get your guests moving - everyone is sure to have a splendid time while learning some new moves. Recently we hosted a Specialist School Formal and had a very caring and professional dance instructor Michelle Theunissen-Scott from AMAKA CREATIVE (@amakacreative on Instagram), who is amazing with children and teens and a delight to work with! These are easy and fool-proof ways to entertain your guests on any budget. Let's plan your next event! [email protected] (03) 5623 1114

18.01.2022 Planning a wedding can be an extremely overwhelming process, especially in a strange time like this. The abundance of vendors and creative solutions for your special day is bound to make research time-consuming, and delay making decisions in search of the perfect venue, celebrant, DJ, floral arrangements, invitations, and so much more. On top of that, you have to think about the budget and the extra fees for a variety of services. The first step in planning a wedding is the ...budget, which is the least fun part of the planning process. Start by having an honest conversation with your partner about what you want your wedding to feel like, your expectations, then move to specifics on what you are able and willing to spend. Keep the budget breakdown in one place and set items by priority, so you don’t overlook what you and your partner want. Make sure your initial budget is realistic by researching the information and looking at wedding packages offered by different vendors. Discuss with your partner what elements are the most important to each of you individually and as a couple. Most of the wedding budget is usually spent on venue and catering. The number of guests you plan to invite is a huge factor in this, because most venues have a ‘price per head’. Small intimate gatherings are usually budget-friendly, while large soirées are bound to be much more expensive. The date is another valid contributor to the budget. Most of the vendors have higher prices for in-season events. As we’re coming out of the quarantine, we strongly recommend not to get attached to a specific date. Have a vague idea first and then discuss options with the venue of your choice. Style of the wedding is a contributing factor as well. Certain styles require a larger budget by default - a luxurious ballroom reception is more expensive than a rustic DIY one. Make sure your budget reflects the theme and style you’re looking for. There are several oversights you have to consider. Most of the time, actual spendings exceed the initial budget. One of the most common budget oversights is forgetting to plan accommodation and transportation. You may be so focused on creating a wonderful experience for everyone involved that you forget to prepare for what comes after the reception. Don’t forget to enjoy the actual planning process by being overly focused on the budget. Your engagement and journey to your wedding day can be as fun as the wedding itself. We are always trying to make every couple’s process as stress-free as possible by taking care of the planning process. So if you’re looking for a welcoming venue, attentive team, and custom wedding packages without extra fees, give us a call or send an email! [email protected] (03) 5623 1114

13.01.2022 As a venue, were constantly trying to improve the quality of our service via training, looking for better ingredients and upgrading the facilities. Recently we had the experience of ordering new kitchen equipment from New York and we would like to share our story with you. Spoiler alert - it went great! So, if youre looking for quality suppliers and a stress-free process, read on! We chose our new kitchen equipment from an amazing supplier CKitchen, which offers a great ar...ray of products available for international purchase at affordable prices. They were extremely helpful along the way and we will definitely work with them in the future! As it was our first time importing equipment, we were worried about the process and safety. We were pleasantly surprised by Sth East Quarantine Services biosecurity and storage services and couldnt be happier with the whole process. We were lucky to work with Lee at Ameroz Imports Pty Ltd. As a local company, they were easy to reach and available for information. The whole process went without a hitch, as we were informed about every step of the shipment via email. It was such a lovely, stress-free procedure that we will definitely work with these businesses again, and soon! If youre interested in any of the businesses we mentioned, reach out and contact them: SEQS - [email protected] Ameroz Imports - [email protected] CKitchen - [email protected]

06.01.2022 Native food has always been something we are curious about. The countless benefits of growing and eating locally grown food include (but arent limited to) health benefits, lesser environmental impact, important economic opportunities for the region, and lasting relationships within a community. At the Peppermint Ridge Farm, the values of sustainably grown produce and education have been at the front of their business for the past twenty years. With the focus on sustai...nability and Australian native food plants, the farm offers a range of unique products and experiences. Julie and Anthony offer tours, cooking classes, tastings, and even a nursery where you can purchase edible native plants to cook with at home. Julies book "Australian Native Food Harvest" is a gem itself, offering valuable advice on how to grow, care, harvest and cook unique local plants. For more information and to book Peppermint Ridge Farms next Tour & Taste Event, go to their website or contact them directly. http://peppermintridgefarm.com.au/ [email protected] (03)5942 8580
