21.01.2022 NAIDOC DAY was July 5th. Celebrations that would usually happen this week, have been postponed this year to November 8-15 in the interest of safety to community. This years theme is: Always Was, Always Will Be. Always Was, Always Will Be. recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.... NAIDOC Week 2020 acknowledges and celebrates that our nations story didnt begin with documented European contact whether in 1770 or 1606 - with the arrival of the Dutch on the western coast of the Cape York Peninsula. The very first footprints on this continent were those belonging to First Nations peoples. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country a history which dates back thousands of generations. 05.01.2022 BACC would like to welcome Bunnings, Marsden Park for coming on board and supporting the recommencement of the Doonside Community Gardens Program. This wonderful donation has helped BACC provide safe PPE for each individual gardener attending the program. Each participant receives a bag containing their own tools, sanitiser, Covid 19 information and much more..Thank you again Bunnings Warehouse Australia for helping support BACC with the recommencement of the Gardening Program.
