17.01.2022 YEAR 12 GRADUATION Attention Year 12 2020 students and parents: There has been an update to the NSW Covid-19 Safety guidelines in regards to activities running in NSW schools, which will affect this week’s Graduation Ceremony on Friday, the 13th of November from 9.30am to approx. 11.00am in the school hall. Previously, the guidelines stated that the Graduation ceremony was to be attended by students only, with guests unable to attend. These recommendations changed on Friday 0...6/11/2020, to allow a limited number of guests to attend Graduation ceremonies in NSW schools. As a result, Blacktown Boys’ High School will be allowing a maximum guest limit of 2 guests per student to attend the Graduation. There will be allocated seating for each of these pairs to ensure that co-mingling between household groups does not occur. Covid-19 measures, including QR Code check in, assigned seating/identification, hand sanitising and social distancing measures need to be followed for the Graduation to successfully run under the Covid-safe HSC Safety Plan. Please note, if there are more than 2 guests per student, they will not be permitted to enter the school grounds. This is to ensure the fairness, health and safety of everyone in the Year 12 class of 2020. See more

In homeroom, students learned about the importance of this day and the significance of the Red Poppy as part of the commemoration through John McCrae’s famous poem, ‘In Flanders Fields’.
