24.01.2022 Last night an art show by Blacktown Boys High, was hosted by #citivolunteers Our school is proud of its extensive partnership with Citibank and this term students are actively participating in a number of mentoring and leadership programs to support them in lifelong learning. These include, RISE, INTERACT and ASPIRATIONS. The "Back to the the Beach" art exhibition, opens at Citibank in Sydney at 4.30pm on Thursday 20th June, thanks to our CAPA staff and students, and their link with Citibank. It promises to be an exciting venue to display the artwork of our students.

15.01.2022 Update: Welcome back to Term 2. I hope everyone is well rested as we have a busy term ahead. * Assessment and reporting started this week with Year 11 half yearly exams which run from Friday 3/5 to Friday 10/5. This will be followed by assessment weeks for Year 10 in week 2, Year 9 in Week 4 and Years 7 & 8 in Week 5. Our Step Up program supports our Senior students in organising work and study timetables and Year Advisors will be working with Junior students on this importan...t skill, at year meetings. * Week 3 is a very important week for students in Years 7 and 9, with the NAPLAN tests, which run in the mornings on the 14th, 15th and 16th May. Information letters for parents were sent home in April. It is especially important that students are well rested and on time on these days. * If you have sons in years 10, 11 or 12, please keep the evening of Tuesday 28th May clear for our Senior Parent Teacher Evening, where you will have the opportunity to pick up your son's Semester 1report and meet with his teachers at pre-arranged times. More information about this will be sent home with your son, in the next few weeks. * The Junior Parent Teacher Evening for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 will be in Week 9, 25/6/2013

14.01.2022 REMINDER: BBHS annual Athletic Carnival will be held on Friday, 17th June of May 2013. The carnival will be held at school on the ovals. Rollcall starts at 8.10am & carnival events start at 8.30am. Students are required to dress in their house colors on the day. The cose is $2.00 AUD. This covers marking, maintenance of the ovals and equipment hire. Money will be collected from students in roll call. It is a normal school day and ALL students are to attend.

13.01.2022 School Holidays: All students return to school on Wednesday May 1st. This day is also marks our ANZAC ceremony. This will take place in the School Hall during period 2.

12.01.2022 BBHS News Update: Subject selection is well underway following our Step Up Subject Selection Evenings held over the last 2 weeks for students in years 8 and 10, who are currently making choices about their electives and study patterns for Stage 5 (Years 9&10) and Stage 6 (Years 11&12). Choices should be finalised by the end of this week 22/8/13. Boys are reminded to choose in order of their preference, and to keep a copy.... The CAPA faculty is abuzz with activity this week with preparations for Cafe D'Art, a celebration of the achievements of students in Art and Music. Families and friends are invited to the evening, which will be held in the School Hall on Wednesday 21st August, from 4.45pm - 6.15pm. Parents are reminded to park only in the Blacktown Boys' carpark (right side facing) as the girls' school car park gates will be locked before the conclusion of the evening. Regards, Z.J

06.01.2022 Year 12 #HSC Trial Exams - Exams for Year 12 students began on Friday June 14th and run until Monday June 24th. (Between 8:15am - 11:15am). We ask that all students be courteous that exams are taking place in the School Hall over coming weeks. 05.01.2022 Congratulations to BBHS's 2013 MUNA team. Our BBHS delegates were representing France, those attending were Zack Jones (Year 12), Sartak Garg and Chaopeng Ma. (Year 10). The annual MUNA is all about building bridges of goodwill for world peace and understanding in the minds of our youth. We congratulate all 23 schools that participated.
