24.01.2022 Check out one of our new buses, decked out with signage. We use the buses to transport our clients to and from the centre, for outings and other events.

14.01.2022 Last Wednesday 26th August was National Meals on Wheels Day. The day recognises the valuable contribution of volunteers every day and especially during the pandemic. We celebrated with our volunteers and clients with freshly baked scones. Volunteers also received gifts which were kindly donated by Blacktown Westpoint

09.01.2022 Blacktown Meals on Wheels are joining in the Knit Bomb Project organised by Blacktown City Council. You can join in to, by knitting or crocheting squares in different colours and shapes which will then be sewn together. We will be knit bombing Gribble Place as a part of the 16 days of activism against violence. For more information, please call the office on 9622 6183.

05.01.2022 In December 2020, Meals on Wheels Australia received a Message of Appreciation letter and medal from His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (...Retd) (Governor-General of Australia) and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley. Within the letter, Their Excellencies thank Meals on Wheels for its significant contribution and dedication to supporting vulnerable members of the Australian community throughout the many challenges of 2020. They thanked the work, passion and commitment of Meals on Wheels services, including its hardworking staff and generous, dedicated volunteers. Meals on Wheels services across Australia are justifiably proud that our extraordinary efforts throughout 2020 were recognised by our Patrons, His Excellency Governor-General David Hurley and Mrs Hurley, national President Sharyn Broer says. I was delighted to accept this medal on their behalf, and thank our Patrons for their staunch support. We thank Their Excellencies for being such wonderful Patrons and incredible advocates for our essential service.
