15.01.2022 Please find attached information on Pre-apprenticeship programs in Carpentry and Plumbing being offered at TAFE NSW - Nirimba. It’s a long way for any Blue Mountains student to travel but if they are really keen, they will have the opportunity to work on a real house build for Department of Housing. In the past, as well as plumbing or carpentry, students have seen the house come together with roofing, plastering, concreting, cabinetry building and landscape construction.... Students have to be interviewed before being accepted on the program because there’s always a high demand to get in. The information session is on Monday 22 June at 9am in Quakers Hills and the programs are scheduled to commence in July 2020.

04.01.2022 Tafe are offering a fully subsidised Café Skills course starting on 20 January, condensed into two weeks to get school leavers qualified. This course would normally take students 8 weeks to complete, (one day a week) so it’s a great opportunity to develop skills that can support you during further study or gap years. They are also running Summer Skills courses at Wentworth Falls this month specifically for students who have left school: a great opportunity for past students... of BYC Drop by my office on Thursday for more info.

03.01.2022 TAFE NSW Katoomba have just announced 4 new YES Program workshops in the creative practice areas. Music, Fashion Textiles, Visual Arts & Video Photography.
