25.01.2022 Hope everyone is ready to bring in the New Year in style. With your support we have raised a little over $3400 for Love Your Sister. The Facebook fundraiser will be closed off tomorrow night so if you have been wanting to make a donation to help provide personalised treatment for all cancer patients now is your chance.
24.01.2022 Tonight will be the final night for Blackview Christmas Lights in 2019. Tomorrow we begin to take the display down and prepare for a Bigger, Brighter and Better 2020.
24.01.2022 What an amazing outcome. With your help, We raised a whooping $3514.20 for a Samuel Johnson's Love Your Sister organisation. Michael and I wanted to say Thank You to everyone who visited, commented, shared and donated to Blackview Christmas lights. Plans have began for 2020 display and can't wait for everyone to see it.

10.01.2022 This year at Blackview Christmas Lights we have 3 different options for you to be able donate. All fundraising platforms will be combined and forwarded to the Love Your Sister organisation. 1. The good old wishing well out front each night the lights are on during the month of December. 2. The donate button in this pinned post at the top of the Blackview Christmas Lights Facebook page 3. SMS the word 'BLACKVIEW' to 0437371371 and follow the prompts for the GiveEasy Fundie... Remember people, check your boobs and squeeze your nuts.
09.01.2022 So tradition says not to put up your Christmas tree till the 1st of December. We thought we would run with tradition and not complete the lights and run a sequence through them till the 1st of December. 2020 has been an interesting year for us as I am sure it has been for many. For a while there we were not even sure we would be able to have the display up at all. With that being said we have made some changes due to COVID19. After raising over $12000 for charities in years gone by, for the first time in 6 years we have made the decision to not fundraise. By removing the wishing well and treats from the table it will enable everyone to remain in their vehicles with family to enjoy the show. For 2020 we would like you to donate online to your favourite charity or pay it forward to someone in need.

06.01.2022 After treatment of chemo and or radiation it is true that it takes years until you feel alive... with the side effects of chemo and radiation you will never be 100 % because your immune system is weak At that most difficult moment you know who your real friends are or people who appreciate you. Unfortunately, FB friends, like most friendships or family, will leave in the middle of a story. They want to do a "like" for history, but they don't really read the message when... they see it's long. More than half have stopped reading. Someone may have already gone to the next post in the news feed. I decided to publish this post to support the families of friends and relatives who fought this terrible disease to the end... Now I focus on those who take time to read this post to the end... A little test if you want just to see who reads, and who shares it without reading. Cancer is a very aggressive and destructive enemy of our body. Even after discontinuation of the treatment, the body is broken even in trying to restore the damage caused by the treatment, to combat the disease. It's a very long process. Please, in honor of a family or a friend who died of cancer, or continues to fight cancer, or even has cancer; copy and paste this post as a post on your fb page. How many times have we heard the others say : "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, I will be there to help you" !! I bet most people who saw this post (Maybe even read it to the end) will publish it, to show your support for a family / friend. Copy and paste - but don't share this post.
