25.01.2022 Reminder for all Junior Golfer's!! Juniors are on again this Sunday, we hope you are all ready for a round of golf. Reminder tee off times 13-9 Holers 7:15am - be there 7:00am... 6 Holers 8am - be there 7:45am 3 Holers 8:30am - be there 8:15am If you are wanting to play in the Middlemount Junior Open Saturday 29th, please make sure you have your name down on Sunday if you don't already as nominations are in on Sunday night. Jason and myself are away this weekend but Matt and Linda Toomey are there to run the morning for you all. Reminder if you are wanting to qualify for the Closed Championships in October you will need to make sure you have played your 6 home games this year. Happy Golfing!!

17.01.2022 Saturday our Junior Open is scheduled to go ahead at this point in time. We are continuing to monitor and assess new developments pertaining to COVID-19. The health and safety of our children and community is our top priority. Under the interest of the health of our junior's and everyone attending, we ask if your child or yourself show any signs of illness at any time we ask that you please reconsider attending. This includes even mild symptoms but not limited to such as hea...dache and slightly runny nose. If you can please let your coordinators know so that we know for numbers on the day that will very much appreciated. 12.01.2022 One last afternoon to finish off our 2020 season!! A huge thank you to Matt Victorsen for making the trip from Emerald this afternoon to complete our first Coaching Clinic. We had 20 of our Junior's attend from 3 holes through to 18 holes, which was certainly great to see! ... Thank you to Yarrabee for making this possible for our Junior's. I'm sure they all learnt something new over the afternoon that they can all work on over the break, ready to put into action next season. We will organise next year's dates very soon!

12.01.2022 Blackwater Junior Open Draw We have had many late changes, if your child is missing or your child is there and is meant to have been taken off the draw can you please let us know. As some of you may have heard the Prime Minister has released new laws today to numbers of gatherings inside and this will affect many club's, pubs and of course this will affect our presentation. ... We will be talking to the club tomorrow and we will get more information out to you all tomorrow. 10.01.2022 Attention All.... Can I please have a RSVP on this post or by message by Monday afternoon at 5pm as to who will be attending our fun morning Christmas Break-Up next Sunday 29th at 9am!! There will be fun games to play, presentations a little later on in the morning, followed by a BBQ lunch and water play. ... (Please remember BBQ is for all so a number per family would be helpful, thank you) As I need to order items for the BBQ we need numbers so we can make sure we have enough food and drinks for you all. 10.01.2022 Good evening Blackwater Juniors... We have a few updates for you... We are happy to announce we will be down at the course on Sunday the 19th July to restart our season!! Yes there is still quite a few rules and items we need to work around to make this happen. Everything is subject to change as time goes on as we all know anything can change over night at the moment. ... 1. There is still no club house at this point, so you will need to bring your own water, and snacks. That also means no toilets, there is now a block over on hole 6/7 that we can use if needed. 2. The course is undertaking the watering system being put it. This will have a different affect each week depending upon where they are working. So this will be discussed each morning. 3. At this point we will be not having any prizes. Though after a few weeks, we will have a better idea on numbers we will look into starting Gift Vouchers. 4. There is also still rules and guidelines we need to follow with government and also Queensland golf. These will be talked about each week also, as these will change over time also. I have not long finished being apart of a Zoom meeting with our fellow CH coordinators to discuss Open's and the foreseeable future. From this I will be in contact with the rest of our committee members to discuss. Open's are as follows ( subject to change at anytime) Springsure 8th August (Greg Norman Qualifier) Moranbah 15th August Middlemount 29th August Emerald 12th September (CH Open) (Greg Norman Qualifier) To be eligible for Golfer of the Year you must attend all four opens. We will not be holding an Open this year due to many reasons, we will also talk about these over the next couple of weeks. Now I ask all parents for an idea on a number of children that will be rejoining us after the school holidays. Once i know a number I will place tee off times up closer to the day. We will then go over many of the above and also what the rest of Blackwater Junior seasons looks like for us playing here at home. We are looking forward to seeing you all again!! 10.01.2022 Attention Junior's Here are 2 dates that are important to you all. For our break up this year we have a few fun games planned to start the morning before we have Presentations around 11am. This will be followed by a BBQ lunch and more games.... The following afternoon we have Matt from Emerald coming over after school for our first coaching clinic on behalf of Yarrabee!! We would like to Thank Yarrabee for making all of this a possibility for our juniors. We look forward to be able to have many more coaching clinic's next year once our new season starts.

09.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE.... To start off we hope all of our Junior Families have been keeping well through out this Covid-19 period. We wanted to update you all one few things so far.... We will NOT be starting our Junior comp again until the County Club reopens. At this stage it is looking to be mid July at the earliest, but please remember this can be change at any stage if the Government wish to do so. ... With the rules at this point you are welcome to go down to the course with your family and have some fun outside time on the course. Please remember the rules though... no touching the pole, 1.5m away from everyone, and if you are on the course and there is someone playing faster then you step to the side and let them play through ahead of you. If you have any questions so far please message Jason or myself and we will see if we can answer them for you.... All CH Junior clubs are going to be in talks at the end of June as to what the next step will be with opens for 2020. When we know more we will let everyone know. 09.01.2022 Congratulations to our 4 representatives at Moranbah Junior Open for yesterday!!.. It sounded like a great day was had by all. To top off there efforts for the day they all walked away with a prize each! 18 Hole Boys Gross Winner - Gregory Mcauliffe... 9 Hole Girls Gross Winner - Ava Carsburg 9 Hole Girls Gross Runner Up - Regan Carsburg 6 Hole Boys Nett Winner - Aidan Mcauliffe The girls decided to tie at the end of 9 holes and had to have a play off. This happened to be their first play off for both girls, it will be something they will remember for a life time. A special well done to Aidan who hit a PB for the day as well. Well done kids!!

(At this stage, could you please ensure that you bring your own food/lunch. We are waiting on a final confirmation as to whether the restaurant will be available for light food. We will communicate via email and post on our Facebook page if the restaurant is available. Snacks and refreshments will be available over the bar. Please ensure you arrive ...20 minutes prior to your scheduled tee off time. This will ensure that there is sufficient time for tournament and COVID registration in addition to letting the young ones warm up. We will be planning on completing presentations for the 13 and 18 hole divisions prior to the conclusion of other divisions. 03.01.2022 Good Morning Blackwater Juniors!!... A quick reminder that we are starting up again as of tomorrow. There will be a few things to keep in mind still though. All social distanceing rules are to be followed at all times. We ask if you could please bring your own pencil or pen if you are asked to score for your group. There will be sanitisers available to use there also. ... As the Country Club has partly reopened we asked that you try to support them when you can, however they are not open till Lunch time so there will still be NO club open while we are playing. We ask that you please bring your own drinks and food if you require them. Tee off times are as follows: 13-9 Holes... Arrive 7am tee off 7:15am 6 Holes... Arrive 7:45am tee off 8:00am 3 Holes...
