20.01.2022 The 2021 Australian Amateur Championship will be played at Kooyonga Golf Club from 9-12 February and for the first time since first being played in 1894, it will be in a new format as a stroke play event over 72 holes!

20.01.2022 Manipulating coordination patterns by shifting the challenge point to develop adaptive skills on course. 1A. Student has selected straight target line (at the pin) with the highest flight apex to dodge the tree. Challenge Point is high and resulted in heavy strike pulled into Greenside bunker. 2A. Using personal golf stats to help student decide on another shot option. Target line is shifted more to the right of tree (reducing the challenge point) to allow for students natur...al right-to-left ball flight. Results in decent strike and outcome to wide portion of the green. 1B. Another shot alternative with a Low Punch option using a 6iron. Student worked hard (aggressive hit) to manipulate the angle of attack attempting to keep it low which results in a pop-up shot into branches due to high tension and downswing force. 2B. Same club selection but reducing tension levels to alter tempo and retain clubface stability which resulted in much better contact and flight control to roll out the ball towards the pin. Result; heavy contact & missed landing zone low with ball finishing bottom tier 30ft. 2/2. New club selection, SW and higher landing zone.
