20.01.2022 These are challenging times that we’re in at the moment. We need to look out for our family, friends and acquaintances. It’s natural to feel a range of emotions, such as stress, worry, anxiety or feeling low during events like the COVID-19 pandemic. For those who are caring for and supporting young people, this may be a particularly difficult time, with additional distress making it harder to cope, stay connected or manage wellbeing. ... Parents and carers may be worried about their children, particularly those in Year 11 and 12, who may have lost casual or part-time employment or are missing out on other key events such as getting their drivers licence or attending their school formal. If you are not coping or have been feeling distressed, anxious or down, help is available through the Partners in Wellbeing service. This state-wide free service offers one-on-one support to improve wellbeing, develop strategies to cope and provide emotional support when people need it. The service also supports parents and carers to access appropriate supports for young people. Learn more about Partners in Wellbeing below.
18.01.2022 Bad news in Victoria today, so this the latest advice for those of us in the lockdown areas. Stay safe and look after yourselves and others around you.
18.01.2022 Some good news! LRD has halved the participation requirements for 2020. Shared from Yarra Pistol Club. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Victorian Government issued Stage 3 restrictions for travel and movement throughout the state. Due to previous and current restrictions, the Licensing and Regulation Division (LRD) are aware that licence holders were not able to attend and participate at shooting clubs during this time and may have been unable to meet participation... requirements. As a result, the Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police has issued a variation of conditions for all general category handgun licence holders who possess handguns for target shooting by reducing the number of shoots required for 2020 by 50 per cent. This means that, effective immediately, annual participation requirements for general category handgun licence holders will be applied: Number of specified classes of handgun possessed, carried or used Total number of handgun target shoots or matches (or combination of both) required for the participation year 2020 Number of classes / Total number of target shoots or competitions required in 2020 is as follows. 1=5, 2=5, 3=6, 4=8. In addition to the above requirements, general category handgun licence holders must meet the following conditions: 1. The total number of shoots or matches must take place on at least 5 separate days; and 2. Of the reduced number of matches or shoots, that the holder of the general category handgun licence is required to participate in for the 2020 calendar year a. at least 3 must be approved handgun shooting matches; and b. at least 2 must be participated in for each specified class of handgun; c. participation may be either as a competitor, supervisor, competition judge or range officer but at least 3 must be participated in as a competitor. Attached is the Notice of Variation signed by the Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Shane Patton APM, for your reference. This variation will be automatically applied to all affected general category handgun licence holders, no application for modification is required. Individual licence holders may apply for further modification (beyond the 50 per cent now required for 2020) of these conditions by completing an application for modification or exemption to handgun participation conditions by the end of the year. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these times and ask that you please continue to refer to the Victoria Police website for updates regarding COVID-19 or email us if you have any questions. Further information on the COVID-19 restrictions can be found on the Department of Health and Human Services website. Kind regards, Licensing and Regulation Division Regulatory Services Department Victoria Police

06.01.2022 Pistol Australia Media Release Travel to 2021 National Championship Events Pistol Australia has received several questions from competitors re the decision to proceed with 2021 Pistol Australia National Championships in all disciplines. After consultation with all States and Territory Associations the following statement is provided for clarification on responsibilities and costs associated with the scheduled events. What if Pistol Australia proceeds with a National Champio...nships event and there is an outbreak and/or borders close during the event? The health and safety of all event attendees, as well as minimizing the travel and financial risk for individuals and State/Territory teams, will form an important part of National Championships planning for Pistol Australia and the host State/Territory. Pistol Australia encourages all attendees to continually monitor local and national travel advice. Pistol Australia will also continually monitor the travel advice. For most States and Territories, there has been a window of 24 to 48 hours when borders have closed. The responsibility will be on the individuals and State/Territory teams to ensure they are across any travel requirements should they need to return home. The risk of some home borders closing is a possibility and individuals and State/Territory teams need to consider this when making travel arrangements. With individuals and State/Territory teams responsible for their own travel and accommodation, the risk will sit with the individuals and State/Territory teams to manage this situation if it occurs. Pistol Australia will try to assist where we can, but this assistance may be very limited as we do not manage the travel plans. Individuals and State/Territory teams must also consider any potential quarantine, transport, accommodation and associated costs resulting from border closures, lockdowns and restricted movement imposed by State/Territory Governments as they would be the responsibility of the individuals and State/Territory teams involved and will not be covered by Pistol Australia or its insurance policy. While this is the absolute worst-case scenario, individuals and State/Territory teams must be aware of this risk. The National Championships covered by this statement include: 2021 Metallic Silhouette Small Bore and Field Pistol National Championships Sporting Shooters Pistol Club, Canberra, ACT -5th to 7th Match 2021 2021 Pistol Australia National Championships Metropolitan Pistol Club, Brisbane, Queensland 26th to 31st March 2021 2021 ISSF National Championships Brisbane International Shooting Centre, Queensland 31st March to 4th April 2021 2021 Action Pistol National Championships Yarra Pistol Club, Victoria 26th to 29th August 2021 2021 Metallic Silhouette Big Bore National Championships Toogoolawah Pistol Club, Queensland - 17th to 19th September 2021 Noel Harrod Sport Administrator PISTOL AUSTRALIA

03.01.2022 Black Widow Projectiles are proud to be associated with the Phegan Family team. Paul, James and Naomi all had a great weekend at the 2021 IPSC SA Handgun Championship. Paul finishing with first place in Production with James a very close secondOnly 30 points behind Paul. James also finished first Junior and second GM. Naomi won both her Super Junior category and also gold in C grade. It was a tough weekend in the heat, but overall a successful match. Reportedly every...one had great time and enjoyed all the stages, which had purportedly been well planned and built. It was good to see lots of interstate competitors at this match and enjoying a fun and safe weekend again. #BlackWidowProjectiles #IPSC #IPSCAustralia #TeamPhegan #IPSCshooting #PerformancePistol #GrandMaster #NationalChampion #friendsinshooting #hitekcoating #australianmade #australianowned See more

Also, the other good news is that we’re able to continue production throughout Stage 4 restrictions, due to us a being Sole Trader, just can’t do door sales.
