14.01.2022 VAC FUN! School holiday bookings are now OPEN! We have a massive range of activities to get the kids out the house and active. Whether you are looking for and hour of reprieve or a full day we have bookings to suit. We have a great team of hands on instructors ready for what we think will be our best school holiday program yet! We will be releasing more with the programs and workshops for the January Holidays in the coming weeks.... 11.01.2022 With the recent announcements from the SA Government, we will be reopening the Fitness Studio from Monday the 23rd of November. This is great news after initially thinking we would be required to close for longer. To get our members back into the studio while abiding by the new density requirements we are adding in several changes. The new restrictions will apply ONLY for Monday the 23rd of November at this point in time. These include: Bookings will be required for any use... in the Fitness Studio or Class. Only 20 people will be allowed into the Studio in a 1 hour timeslot With increased density requirements, please ensure that you are abiding by social distancing protocols when you are working out. While a class is being conducted in the Studio, no general member workouts will be allowed. Our opening hours will be 6 AM 6 PM We will be making an announcement on Monday morning in relation to the evening Yoga class, andadvise all participants if it is not going ahead. Once our management team has met and discussed options, and we are able to get more information from the relevant governing bodies, we will let all our members know of the procedures going forward. In the upcoming December school holidays, we are very excited to announce that we will be working with Scoffed Cooking School to bring an exciting new Christmas themed event to the Rec Centre! Blackwood Recreation Centre will close at midnight on Monday 16th November 2020 and remain shut for up to 2 weeks until or until advised otherwise by the State Government. The closure is a government requirement, and is part of measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The decision was made on Monday 16th November 2020 at 3:00pm by the State Government. These new rules apply to all indoor Sport, Recreation and Fitness centres in Sout...h Australia. The health and wellbeing of our members and staff is always our top priority. Although we will not be open to the public for up to two weeks we’ll be using our Facebook and Instagram pages to stay connected with you and help you reach your fitness goals. We understand this is a worrying time and many of you will be concerned and disappointed. But please try to view this as an important and positive step to help us stop the spread of COVID-19. 01.01.2022 We are looking for a new Yoga instructor to take our evening classes. The sessions are Monday and Wednesday evenings (6:30pm - 8:00pm). There will also be potential for new classes coming on and also covers for some of our other Yoga classes.
