04.01.2022 Mole Creek is thought to have been inhabited more than 10,000 years ago. The town began to develop between 1860 and 1890. In the early 1890s, when the railway was extended to Mole Creek, the town became a ‘tourist resort’, attracting visitors largely due to the region’s caves, lakes on the plateau and Alum Cliffs. More families arrived in the mid-1920s, settling on small farms and developing Mole Creek further into the rural holiday destination it is today. And that’s why we love to call Mole Creek our home.
