25.01.2022 G'day I'm Bonny. Owner and (currently) sole barber at Blackwood Barber Shop. I'm 29 and mother of 2 young chaps. I've been barbering for 13 years now and was originally trained by an older Italian man who prided himself in teaching the traditional 'old' barber ways. Over the years, I've picked up tips and tricks off of some very clever and creative stylists and have refined my own craft to a point that i am proud to now offer to men and boys in the south west. I am passio...nate about providing a premium service and experience. I offer full face shaves, beard maintenance and styling, relaxation facials w/ head massage and of course, hair cuts. Along with another local business @hayleygemma, we will soon be supplying premium men's face and beard products, all organic & sustainably sourced/produced. At this stage, I'm open 4 days per week. Wednesday is by appointment only and Thursday, Friday & Saturday is all walk ins. I wanted to say thank you for the encouraging reception I've received since opening 6 weeks ago. I hope i can see you all in the shop soon!

20.01.2022 Well my working year has come to an end. I am absolutely blown away by the support I've received since opening the shop 16 months ago. I average 65 haircuts a week, and for that I am so grateful. Most weeks I receive fresh, home grown produce, eggs, kind words of support and encouragement or just an amazing & open conversation from clients who I now consider to be friends. This small community is everything I have ever wanted and it's such a blessing to work for myself in t...his town and to raise my children here. 10.01.2022 Worst first day back EVER. Busy busy, which is amazing and I am so grateful but I've had to close because I've been having to stop mid haircut to vomit. I think I have GASTRO AGAIN.
