24.01.2022 Hello to the Blackwood inline hockey club. We made a return to the game that brings us all together today. From a committee point of view it was easy to see that the members were hangin. Everyone fully engaged in training . Many thanks to Raf and Kingers for volunteering their time. There were 40odd cgraders who came away with some skills. As a trial it proved that we can cover all protocols. The rec centre is satisfied that we can again run our competition. Time will be t...he restraint for the Sunday league. Further relaxing of restrictions will help us to return to hockey as we know it. For now 30min is required between games to follow protocol. This means 4 games can be played. Hard to see this changing in the short term. The schedule will be out soon. Possibly will be 2 Agrade and 2 Bgrade games. Play should resume for the Sunday league on the 12th July. I'm sure the rec centre will post covid19 protocols. Please follow them or we'll only fit 3 games in for the day. Information on junior hockey will be forthcoming. Guesstimate restart for juniors 25th July. Might even be some photos coming. See more

23.01.2022 It's been awhile, unless unforeseen circumstances prohibit the return of the Friday night shinny, we're back. Friday 24th July at 6:45 To keep it a little more simple it will cost $10 Concession to the non working and pensioned out at $5. Please don't pay at the counter. It is still run by the club and is solely non-profit . If ever we get too much $$ the money is put back into grass roots. ... Feel free to comment. 21.01.2022 Hey people this was just brought to my attention. Hi lovely peeps who have rollerskated / rollerbladed in your past (or current!) lives, are any of you keen to be in an ABC Kids TV show as an extra, hahaha?!? Super random I know, but this is not a joke - I’m currently working (as cast chaperone) on a kids’ reality series called Are You Tougher Than Your Ancestors?, and this Thursday 13 Feb we are shooting a 1980s roller disco scene at the South Australian Film Corporation ...studios at Glenside, and are trying to round up a whole stack of extras of all ages with their OWN rollerblades or rollerskates, who are confident skaters, to appear as background extras at the roller disco from 3:45pm - 7pm! If you’re keen or have children who can skate and might also be keen (obviously we’d love lots of young people to be involved, this being a kids’ show and all!), please let me know but also email [email protected] for more details... And please spread the word amongst your inline hockey / roller derby / ice hockey / kids’ friends networks, thanks!

ALL proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Z...oos Victoria Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund. Orders will be taken until January 31st 2020 and distributed by mid-February. Jerseys will be $80 and include your own custom name/number and postage anywhere in Australia. 07.01.2022 Urgent message please read and follow To the BIHC members, The rec centre is putting out a warning to those who are bringing and consuming alcohol on the premises. The warning came across as quite severe. The Rec center answer to Blackwood School and Mitcham Council, who are far more important on their care factor list. For hockey to survive please adhere to their no alcohol on the premises policy.... Thankyou BIHC committee
