Warmer, more amber, finishes specifically, Dinesen Natural Oil and the vibrant Umbra tint tend to contrast well with cooler wall tones like grey, grey-white, blue and blue-grey. Lighter finishes such as Dinesen Light Oil and the Light Grey and Sand tints are a little more neutral. They work best with subtle colours, like cream and soft pastels: anything exceedingly vivid would overshadow the woods more restrained appearance.
