11.01.2022 Hope everyone is staying well and keeping your distance actually I went to do a few errands today and I must say it almost seemed like a ‘normal day’ as far as shoppers and cars on the road are concerned so people are obviously feeling a lot safer about the whole thing now whether that is a good or bad thing we will no doubt find out in days to come. Anyhow just a short note to let you know for those that may not have already guessed The Blackwood Times has gone int...o lockdown due to lack of advertising revenue making the publication of the newspaper financial unviable. I am planning on starting up again when it becomes clear that the economy has recovered and heading in the right direction and don’t worry I’ll let you know when that is!! Also there are still things happening related to our community . Blackwood Hub library - Zoom workshop revised design Tuesday May 5 from 19:00-21:30 Public Hosted by Darren Kruse - Councillor for Craigburn Ward, Mitcham Council Please join us on Zoom with the design team to watch and listen to a workshop on the plans for the new Blackwood Community Hub (but not the confidential update on the Blackwood Pedestrian Link Project - sorry) Click this URL to join with Zoom on PC, iPhone, Android, iPad (no password) https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83505442853 (if this link doesn’t connect - you may have to cut & paste into your browser) The following members of the Design Inc team will be joining us: Jennifer Drake, Design Inc: Senior Associate Michael Willis, Design Inc: Senior Architect Ben Zoontjens, Design Inc: Director Valdis Zvaigzne, Aspect Studios: Associate (the same team that did the suberb Mitcham library update) https://designinc.com.au//communi/mitcham-memorial-library We need your *design* questions ! Councillors will then have the opportunity to ask any questions of clarification before Staff go around the room asking the following questions of the Councillors: 1. Which is your preferred plan? 2. Why is it your preferred plan (what do you like)? 3. Are there any elements of the preferred plan you would like to change? 4. Are there any elements of the other plan that you would like to see incorporated into your preferred plan For more information see ; https://www.mitchamcouncil.sa.gov.au//blackwood-community- See you all on the other side!!!!
