25.01.2022 Zac Bennett-McPhee as Compton, performing World of Grey from ATOMIC at Sitz Probe.

24.01.2022 The Campervan Tales opens next week! A few people have asked about the meal deal at Rigby’s. The exact menu hasn’t been confirmed (it’s dependent upon bookings) but previous shows have provided a choice of Grilled Fish, Beef & Guinness Pie, Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Salad, or Vegetable Lasagna (all with sides, GF options available), followed by Profiteroles. A great deal for $50 including the show! (Or $25 for the show only.) Bookings at www.rigbysbar.com.au

24.01.2022 Want to book tickets for ATOMIC but can't afford it? Well, that's not cool. Blak Yak is all about doing things different, and accessibility in the arts, so this year we are trying something new - a pay what you can afford night. For Thursday 21 March, you can book your seat online for $0, then just pay what you can afford when you rock up. It's that simple. http://www.blakyak.com.au #AtomicPerth #AtomicMusical #atomicthemusical #Atomicrocksperth#perthlife #icwest #perthtodo ... #seeperth #helloperth #perth #perthpop #welcometoperth #blakyakperth #blakyaktheatre #rockmusical See more

23.01.2022 ATOMIC is sold out tonight, but still tickets available for both Friday and Saturday night shows. www.blakyak.com.au

22.01.2022 We finished our first weekend of Atomic with a matinee (with an awesome standing ovation) and then a cast & crew dinner with the author Danny Ginges and the composer Phil Foxman before they head back to Sydney. It’s been awesome having them here and we are delighted to be part of the Atomic family :)

22.01.2022 Check out the awesome review from stage whispers on Atomic!

21.01.2022 Post has just gone up about our recent Pay-What-You-Can-Afford-Night for Atomic - interesting reading for other small theatre groups.

17.01.2022 Hey Yakkers! In our recent, awesome run of ATOMIC we tried an experiment for us, a Pay-What-You-Can-Afford (PWYCA) night. Basically, people booked online to reserve a seat, and then paid whatever they could afford on the door on the night. We've had lots of positive feedback on the night and even more people asking how it went and why we did it, so the committee have decided to release the financial details of the night in the hopes that other community theatre clubs will con...Continue reading

15.01.2022 We honestly can’t believe the incredible response we’ve had to ATOMIC. Standing ovations, audiences crying at the end and an outpouring of audience feedback. Check out the lovely comment below left on our website. Just 3 shows left, including our pay what you can afford night and we’d love to close to packed audiences.

15.01.2022 Just 3 more chances to see ATOMIC. We are almost sold out for Thursday, but there are plenty of tickets left for Friday and Saturday. Don't miss the show that audiences are describing as "unforgettable", "flawless" and "heartbreakingly beautiful". 14.01.2022 Have you seen ATOMIC yet? We've had stunning reviews of our opening weekend, and have a 1pm matinee today. We'd love to have you along, so we are doing $15 Rushtix on the door!

14.01.2022 The Campervan Tales opens this week and let's be honest, bookings are slow. If you were thinking of coming -- and maybe partaking of the meal deal (details below) -- please book through the Rigby's website, so that they can plan for meals and staff.

14.01.2022 Looking for people to volunteer at our sausage sizzle on Sunday 1st September at Morley Bunnings. We are in particular need of people to help out during the potentially busy 10.30am to 1.30pm shift. Even if you can only donate an hour of your time, let me know!

13.01.2022 Blak Yak Theatre is pleased to announce something a little different. We are mounting a short season of a collection of short monologues (and some dialogues), to be staged at Rigby's Bar, in the Perth CBD, in September. All of the scripts are locally written by award-winning playwright James Forte, and are a mixture of comedies and dramas. We are inviting interest from both potential directors and performers. Each piece is about 10-15 minutes long and could be ideal for someone wanting to do something light or try something new. Roles are for males and females, age 20-60 (and unpaid). Blak Yak is hosting an open reading of the scripts (at the Burswood home of one of our members) early Sunday evening (July 28) from 6pm. We invite anyone interested to come along and find out more about the show. (Please msg for the address.)

08.01.2022 Now that ATOMIC is over, we'd love to shout out to Roleystone Theatre for their awesome loan of a bunch of guys costumes and military uniform pieces for the show, and we can share some images of their costumes being used without spoilers. Thanks Roley! An awesome example of community theatres supporting each other, it is so appreciated! Get along to see their next show, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! Don't miss it! and see Matthew Arnold from ATOMIC in it, as well as the rest of their stellar cast. Share the love!

05.01.2022 We are 2 shows into our incredible run of ATOMIC, and we've been inundated with awesome reviews from audiences - this show deserves to be seen by packed houses. We are doing $15 RushTix on the door for tonight (16 March) performance, so come on down. Check out some of our audience feedback so far! #blakyak #atomicthemusical #atomicrocksperth #musicaltheatre #rockmusical #philipfoxman #dannygines

04.01.2022 Still on the fence about ATOMIC after the tonnes of awesome reviews we've shared? Check out another little snippet of our Sitz, the awesome Zac Bennett as Compton, singing World of Grey. Just 3 more chances to see the show audiences are describing as "stunning" and "breathtaking". Tickets at www.blakyak.com.au
