18.01.2022 7 NATIONS JOIN FORCES FOR INT'L JAZZ DAY | The U.S. Air Force Band’s Airmen of Note led a unique collaboration with military musicians from across the globe! Th...e song I’ll Be Seeing You is a message of hope during separation that was very popular during WWII for both those serving abroad and back home. In this current enviroment the world once again looks forward to reuniting with each other. We are honored to have military vocalists and instrumentalists from Australia, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom partner with us on this extraordinary project. Listen to the powerful words of this timeless song and share it with those you can't wait to see again soon. 14.01.2022 Happy birthday to the inimitable Sarah Vaughan, who would have been 96 today! Ms. Vaughan, who is firmly ensconced in the pantheon of jazz vocal legends, garner...ed four GRAMMY awards throughout her career, was inducted as an NEA Jazz Master in 1989, and remains one of the largest role models for aspiring jazz singers today. "Sassy," as she was nicknamed, collaborated with the Airmen of Note several times throughout the early 1970s. Most recordings were done for "Serenade in Blue," a U.S. Air Force recruiting radio program, and the finest of these tracks made it into a 1974 album called "The Airmen of Note and Sarah Vaughan." She also appears alongside other guest artists on the 1973 album "Airmen of Note Come Out Swingin'." See more
