We live on ancient, matrilineal country. Where the mighty Bundjalung, Yaegl and northern Gumbayngirr people have lived in harmony with the land for some 65,000 years. We pay our deep respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging of these abundant lands, that carry and nourish our so...uls and those of our loved ones. Sands and tides are shifting, but we have much focussed, loving, deep work to do. Our offering this Thursday night, is a screening of the film IN MY BLOOD IT RUNS @inmyblooditruns, and an indigenous lead panel discussion and conversation afterwards. It’s been every bit as beautiful, inspiring and connecting as we hoped it would be and so very much more. 09.01.2022 Here’s some things we know for sure about COVID19. We know that when our children search our eyes for answers, they won’t see fear. We know that rules and regulations can limit our movement, but they can never limit our minds.... We know that our resources can be depleted but our resourcefulness is infinite and unending. We know that focus unmanaged, is fear waiting to flourish. We know that if we allow toxicity to take root in the garden of our minds, the biodiversity of our dreams is compromised. We know that business and the economy may shift, but that our intrinsic value and creative ability to alchemise it in the world, can never be taken from us. We know that normal was never constant anyway, and that the old normal of choosing joy is still just as available as ever. We know that we don’t have to be in the same room as each other to be together. We know that as physical borders close, mental and spiritual borders dissolve. We know that nature is still our church and that our prayers are heard. We know that fear is the most infectious and deadly disease of all. We know that the antidote to fear is love. We know we can’t wait to give you a hug. We know that this is just a cocoon. And that we’ll all be butterflies soon. Blanc Space Agency is currently closed to the public, but we’re anything but closed to possibility, to big ideas, to community and to connection. We’re excited to be launching a project that will see 5,000 koala and nectar feeder food trees planted in our local area, paying good humans who have lost their jobs in the face of the pandemic to plant them. We’ll have the magnetic @tashi_dawa_yoga back in the space leading yoga online, meditative moments to cope with the dissonance of these times, and in candid conversation on our IGTV. 08.01.2022 Last night the MINDSCAPES exhibition by Todd Clare opened at Blanc Space and we wished ourselves a Happy 1st Birthday! It was a fantastic evening, rounding out the decade and turning our eyes to the next one with a room full of wonderful old friends and a stack of new ones! We were treated to Todd’s breathtaking new work now for sale. Stunning visuals shot in South America, and a live soundscape by Jack Tully & The Seers and the ever delectable delicacies of our mates from Karrikin Yamba Thank you to everyone who came and was a part of it. We’ll be closed now until the 30th December. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for your support this year! Hayley + Mick x
07.01.2022 Hayley is a professional chameleon, who started off her legal career in maritime and aviation before moving to marketing, while Mick is a sports and marketing w...underkind and has managed a number of international events. When they grew tired of working in the city, they knew they wanted to live in beautiful Yamba. After working from home for a little while, they quickly felt the walls closing in around them as they tried to keep their energy high and also get to know more people in the local community. And so BLANC SPACE Agency was born in October 2018. As a co-working studio and creative agency, the agency was a godsend for locals, who had a quiet, tranquil space to get work done without being distracted by children or spouses. They closed to the general public to manage numbers, and revolutionised parts of the businesses to stay COVID-safe. Although they miss holding big events for their workers, they’ve redirected that energy into running more outdoor engagements with their community, partnering with the NSW Government Saving our Species initiative, to run their Caring for the Clarence project, where they planted 5000 koala and nectar feeder trees in their local area. Their community support doesn’t stop there, as they’ve been actively engaging and mentoring students at their local high school and have launched a weekly safe space for young women through the agency. They've provided a raft of support services for locals through the agency, and like many other small business owners are glad to see more customers choosing to #golocalfirst to back the small business owners who look out for their communities.
07.01.2022 CARING FOR THE CLARENCE We had a lovely time today at The Peach Farm sharing our community koala habitat restoration project Caring For The Clarence. We partnered in with the NSW Koala Strategy to work with local landholders and community to plant 5,000 endemic species of koala and nectar feeder food trees.... This morning we had the chance to talk about our journey on The Today Show. 01.01.2022 It’s been great to have Kamahl from Barefoot Business in Melbourne in the space this week! He’s been on a road trip up the coast meeting with clients and stopped in to sunny Yamba. Whilst working remotely from a cafe and feeling distracted, he googled co-working spaces in Yamba, found BLANC SPACE and came straight on up to the deep work oasis! We love these provident meetings! ... Kamahl’s energy is motivated and inspired and combined with his 4th generation business experience and acumen, he is a force.
