16.01.2022 This is one of the groups we support. Outback Assistance Project...Can you HELP.. Outback Assistance Program who do a great job. They are in Bracken Ridge in Brisbane and are always looking for items to assist children and families in the outback working with health services to distribute. If you can help pm them and find out what they might need. Here is a little background on the group.... We are a mother daughter team who started out sending clothes that our children/grand...children had grown out of to regional communities. After speaking to the health clinics who distribute our items it touched our heart and Outback Assistance Program started. Then we started asking family and friends if they had any items and we have been steadily growing ever since. Due to the overwhelming support we have received we are in the process of registering as an official charity. Our donations are sent directly to either a health clinic or to catholic health care clinics who then distribute them to the 100 plus communities they look after. We feel by sending to these clinics they are aware of who would benefit from the items they have received. We are in constant contact with the health clinic to ensure we are sending useful items or things that are needed most. At the moment we are sevicing Tennant Creek and surrounding communities. Who receive no donations other than what we send. See more
