25.01.2022 Our Mayor only slept a few winks at the Sleepout, however he too has been fully committed for the past six years now, sleeping out and spreading a media message of education about how we can all support our homeless!

23.01.2022 Nearly 4 times the amount of blankets we originally quoted have now arrived from the good people at Queensland Rail. Nearly 1000 blankets will go to the homeless to make their nights on the street just that little bit more comfortable. 22.01.2022 Mr Andrew Loch, one of the Yr 12 teachers at Clairvaux MacKillop College certainly has the students on song with their contributions to the community. It was a Hot Day loading up the winter gift packs and the timing is terrific. The packs are already on their way to those in need as the winter winds and cold snap is about to catch up to us from the southern states today and into Monday.... Thanks Vinnies for getting out there tonight and every other night to help those in need!

22.01.2022 Boys behind the blankets! I know we have been quiet lately with our posting however be rest assured the Blankets for Brisbane wheels have been spinning fast! We really love to try and catch the wonderful folk who donate all the blankets before we clean them - so that we can share their friendly faces. In true and humble spirit - these good people often prefer to donate and simply push on with their day.... Over 3000 blankets have been collected, cleaned and handed on to those in need via our Vinnies community connections. So my friends, because of our anonymous donations of recent weeks - today you have been blessed with a mug shot of the boys. Thank you for continuing to support us and Vinnies. Cameron

20.01.2022 The CEO Sleepout has taken on different format this year due to COVID-19 social distancing measures. This year, the CEOs must still sleep rough, but they will do so alone - Even more like living on the streets.

12.01.2022 The Vinnies Sleepout tonight has a wonderful panel discussion about the complexities of homelessness hosted by Bill McDonald. Of upmost importance is to maintain dignity for those who need our help. Building strong, honest and trusting relationships across all groups from the community that can provide prompt assistance for the homeless to get their lives back where they want them to be is also very important.
