24.01.2022 So today the Better Half's son in law and I tackled an ancient 4 wheel hay rake. This rake has sat for years in a paddock in the elements up Tully way. Years of exposure to rain had caused deep embedded rust. Was a big job due to the shape, lots of curves. The rust was removed along with old paint. Rinsed off, primed(not by me!) And repainted original Massey Ferguson red. Now ready to rake the hay once the slasher (next job) does it job. We also took the opportunity to give my trailer a facelift. Should be fully completed by Sunday so I wont be blasting til next week now.

22.01.2022 Do you have farm machinery sitting around rusty and forlorn looking? Have you contemplated bringing it back to life and putting it back to work again? Lets face it, the old stuff was made to last in Australian conditions. Don't replace it with newer inferior stuff, revitalise it. Blasting the rust and old paint away will give you the perfect foundation to prime and lay your favourite colour to make your implement look new again. I use superfine recycled crushed glass and high preasure water to prepare that old surface. I add rust inhibitor to the blast water and rinse off to give you up to 72 hrs flash rust prevention. This old girl was once a road line marker trailer so was pretty tired. A few hrs blasting has removed the old paint and rust ready for a prime. My customer even jumped on board and did some blasting. 20.01.2022 Blasted my first job today in sunny Townsville. A tired old paint job on Tony's dumper need removing so a new coat of primer and bright paint could be applied so this machine can get out and start operating again. I used a superfine recycled glass media to remove a couple of layers of top coat and primer and a few rust spots. The job was large in surface area but the small DB150 handled it well. The final finish will allow a good bond with primer as the media leaves a nice profile on the metal surface. Thanks Tony for letting me loose on your truck! 18.01.2022 Last year I blasted a tractor for a great bloke locally. The owner has just sent through the photos of the completed project. The tractor was for total restoration, basically a ground up rebuild. My part was small compared to what the finished result is, which are in photos at the end. There are a few photos so please flick through them and see what a skilled artist can do with an old tractor that was left to rust away in a shed for many years. I was awestruck to see the final presentation. My part in these restorations is small, but it helps with the process. great work kev!!

15.01.2022 Had a great morning blasting anti foul paint from a gem of a boat, Haines Hunter 26 footer. My morning of blasting gymnastics (sliding under the keel to blast it clean) was well worth the old bones aching. Saved the owner a lot of time stripping the old girl the old way and less mess. I used superfine crushed glass at 90 psi.

14.01.2022 Gave a tired old dual cab ute tray a blast today. Ripped off the old paint and rust growth lurking in the bed. Blasted, cleaned down and treated with rust inhibitor to stave off flash rust until customer primes it later today. If you need some work done next week let me know (weather permitting!!)

13.01.2022 Had a crack at a ripper of a tipper trailer being constructed by a local business operator. Blasted the frame back to bare and left the surface with a nice profile ready for a coat of primer tomorrow. Treated with rust inhibitor to stave off flash rusting. 13.01.2022 Did an engine bay and front inner guards of an old school Mazda ute. No rust hiding underneath the old paint or sound deadener. Its being primed in readiness of new paint. Came up very nice.

10.01.2022 Had the pleasure of blasting sections of a horse float this afternoon. The float isnt that old but spent its early life on the coast. Salt had gotten in under the bog, yes, bog. The bog was applied during manafacture before paint so the panels looked true. Got it all off so the owner can continue with his repairs. Really enjoyed this one, panels came out nice. Remember I am mobile and come to you. Trailers, Machinery, engines, wheels/rims. Surface preparation on the move. Message for a quote. I can travel west to Charters, sth to Bowen, nth to Ingham. 10.01.2022 A quick job this morning. Cleaned the old paint from a set of gates for the house owner undertaking renovations. This was the first blast job for my new DB500 blast pot I had fitted to my set up yesterday. I now get an hour uninterupted blast time instead of 15 mins with my smaller DB150. 09.01.2022 2 jobs at one location today. Drop down sides and headboard of an Isuzu tray truck. Current paint had seen better days. Then onto a box trailer for a total blast. Both jobs done and dusted then both clients got a coat of etch primer on both projects. ... When the final colour is applied I will add to the page.

04.01.2022 Blast the Past Dustless Blasting and Surface Preparation I offer a mobile Dustless Blasting service to Townsville and the surrounding region. My services include the removal of rust, paint, powder coat, mill scale, barnacles and anti foul (marine applications). The possibilities are endless when it comes to Dustless Blasting. ... What is the Dustless Blaster? The Dustless Blaster works by mixing water and abrasive inside the blast tank. By introducing water, I am drastically increasing mass and energy the machine puts out, while reducing the dust. The wet media hits the target area harder with more effect than using dry media. The wet media with high pressure water vapour ensures the blasted particles fall to the ground instead of into the surrounding air. What are the advantages of using the Dustless Blasting system over the traditional dry methods? 1. Faster. 03.01.2022 Couple of small jobs today. Paint, rust and bog removal fromsections of a tilt tray, now ready for prime n paint. Couple of motorcycle bits just removing original paint. No rust in those bits from the 40's. The Brits built them to last!

02.01.2022 Today I blasted an old classic British auto. A 1954 Humber Hawk. The removal of the layers of paint reveals old repairs and bog. It is all stripped back ready for primer so the full rebuild can begin. These old classics are solid as rocks. She will look a treat when the full resto is complete.
